(Re)Introducing Louis Vuitton Monogram Jacquard Denim

Major 2000s vibes ahead...

Louis Vuitton's New Denim Bags Are an Ode to the 2000s

Trends from the 2000s continue to reign supreme in the fashion world, and while Gen Z is experiencing Y2K fashion for the first time, the rest of us can recall the originals. If you were a handbag lover in the mid-2000s, then you no doubt will remember Louis Vuitton’s Monogram denim line. Louis Vuitton’s denim bags helped define a specific era in the handbag world, and its iconic Monogram denim collection remains a beloved part of modern handbag history. Now, Louis Vuitton is bringing it back, recreating the beloved bags in a new Jacquard Denim.

Louis Vuitton LV Monogram Denim Jacquard Collection

The House’s most iconic designs are enlivened in rich indigo hues, featuring a stonewashed effect and jacquard technique, all bearing the unmistakable Monogram motif. Denim transcends generations, remaining a staple of every woman’s wardrobe, and it has been used by Louis Vuitton time and time again. The timeless Monogram motif, paired with the staple of denim makes for an easy to wear, chic design. The collection is full of handbags and accessories that pop. From the Onethego tote and the new Loop bag to the classic Speedy and more, Louis Vuitton has outfitted its most beloved designs in this new material.

Construction and Materials

Though we’ve seen denim done by the Maison before, this washed denim is unique and innovative. The denim look is achieved through a jacquard weaving technique, which was imagined by the House and developed exclusively for this collection. Not only does the technique perfect the iconic denim look, but it also makes the fabric strong and ensures that the pattern won’t fade over time. It’s designed to last but still feels soft and supple to the touch. Each piece is finished with indigo calfskin leather trim and white contrast stitching. No detail goes unnoticed with this collection, and the interior of each bag is lined in a reverse denim material, which gives the impression that it is the underside of the bag’s exterior. The collection also boasts a pink colorway which appears on certain pieces like the nano Speedy. Discover more of the collection below and shop now via Louis Vuitton.

It would be nice, when these articles are printed, that there was stock on the LV website. The blue denim is sold out.

you have to absolutely pre order to get any of these new collections

Visit your local boutique, they can often find what you are looking for.

I called my associate and nothing available

Very pretty but nothing will pry my original Neo Denim Speedy from my hands! I love the rich honey color leather – gives a chic western vibe!

These models look beautiful and are styled quite well which I wouldn’t expect from louis Vuitton hotmess, lol

I find that the navy blue trim gives these new pieces way more chicness than the denim collection of the 00′ era. These ones did not aged very Well to me. Now I want this denim speedy so much but can’t afford at all. 😓

They always show new bags and then they never have them in stock….

after years and years so many LV bags later, I finally bought a speedy. I got mine today and is so pretty my mother already told that the bag is ours. It was a sacrify to get that, my SA almost went on a “fight” with another SA for it, but a happy ending came for me.

Just spotted this post and thought I’d add some crowd-frustration to the LV Denim release. First, it was not “Orderable” in advance by any SA; the stores took pre-release deposits to create an in-store Waiting List (in case they received the item). Next, not every store received every piece (except for the larger hub stores like LV BevHills, NY, La Vegas City Center, etc. & they have their own in-store regular clients). Finally, except for a few pieces, such as the baseball cap or scarf, not much hit Web Sales. I placed a telephone Web Sales pre-order on Jan 4 for the micro pochette & it was never filled even tho LV had no problem taking my $$. So, in my experience, this collection was Hit & Miss, or Get Lucky. 🤷🏼‍♀️
