There’s something about Hermès that, even in an era of social media oversharing where every purchase and milestone is documented online, still feels incredibly elusive. For those of us who haven’t yet begun collecting, much of the brand’s world remains a mystery. That’s why, when it comes to all things Hermès, PurseForum continues to be one of the best resources around.
Beyond showcasing impressive collections from seasoned shoppers and longtime collectors, the forum is packed with firsthand stories, advice, and insights for anyone looking to build a collection of their own. Some of my favorite threads, though, are the ones where members share the pieces they’re currently coveting and the latest additions to their wardrobes. This spring had been an especially active season, with tPFers eagerly posting their newest finds.
We rounded up some of our favorite discoveries from the “What is your latest Hermès purchase?” thread. One of the busiest discussions in the Hermès subforum, it’s always a treat to see what everyone is sharing. Take a look at more than a dozen of our favorite picks below.
A Look at the Latest Hermès Scores

Best thing I have ever done? Sell my Birkins. Most overrated bags in the history of handbags. They are everywhere—and somehow Hermès makes you believe they are “rare.” It’s alarming the kind of psychological hold Hermès has on so many of its clients (including me for years). Freedom from Hermès’ bs is a life goal.
The amount of these bags being sold on the resale market is astounding. Many from reputable websites. And double the cost of original retail. The point being, you are correct. They’re not rare if you can get them so easily.
During these times of increasing economic disparity, it seems truly tone deaf to glorify $15K+ handbags that only wealthy women can afford as somehow “aspirational” whilst so many people struggle to pay rent and buy groceries! I’ve sold many of my Hermes, Chanel and LV pieces. They mean very little in the larger scheme of life as you mature and understand that flaunting your economic status is counter-productive. Consider focusing on the other socially admirable aspects of fashion. Oh, wait. Nevermind….. Moral compass comes to mind.
If I ever have the fortune to get an Hermes bag, it has to be either blue or pink. Hermes does these two colors very well.
I think I need an intervention! I don’t want a Birkin or Kelly!
I turned it down once in Aix en Provence because I was just starting my vacation and I didn’t want the burden of a valuable item for the next two weeks. I’m going back to France in September to three different areas where it’s a possibility. What is it that draws us into want it if it’s offered to us?? I do not want to get sucked into that! I just want the new Evelyne 23 and call it a day. (I have two 29s that I adore, the 23 will fit me much better).
Murphy’s Law I get offered one now. 🙄
