One thing that Gucci continues to do so well season after season (despite changing creative directors) is reinvigorate its most beloved designs. Continuing its tradition of reinvention, Gucci brings black denim to the new Giglio bag, combining its heritage codes—think the iconic Gucci web and GG Monogram—with edgy black denim.
Gucci’s Talent for Reinvention
A black tote is one of the most important (and most used) bags in many handbag lovers’ collections, and Gucci has given the Giglio a fresh, modern spin with the just-released black denim iteration. We’ve already pored over all the many reasons why the Gucci Giglio deserves a spot in your collection, but this updated iteration takes the bag’s cool factor up a notch.
I didn’t think I could love the Giglio more after first covering the bag’s debut following the Cruise 2026 show, but this black denim iteration adds a certain edge that feels very me. Plus, as the weather gets cooler and we collectively favor deeper, darker tones, this feels like the ideal addition to my cold-weather wardrobe.
Arriving in the bag’s classic size as well as the miniature version, the Gucci Giglio in black denim is available exclusively online now. Shop the entire Giglio family via Gucci.
Introducing the Black Denim Giglio

I really like this bag in both sizes, the larger is just too large for my needs. It is a great bag.
Fabulous! I can’t wait to see it in fresh!! Very exciting 😊
The $1850 for a logo-ed bag in fabric feels really really expensive.
Idk, The bag comes with a removable pouch, and a long leather strap that is long enough to be carried shoulder or crossbody. Stores only carry the brown one, in small and large sizes. I wanted a small in blue, but it was only sold online so the SA ordered it for me. The large is $2250 and is incredibly large-too large for me and I’m 5’9″.
Pouch being detachable is really a generous feature.
I don’t get the popularity of this bag. I’ve seen both sizes and colors in store. Not impressed. It looks like a basic everyday bag in the small. The big bag looks like something I’d use as a weekender.
