The 5 Gucci Black Denim Items I’d Add to My Collection

Classic yet modern, I keep revisiting these bags

It’s no secret that I am a big fan of Gucci. In fact, some of the bags that get the most wear in my collection are from Gucci, from the Horsebit 1955 to my GG Flora Ophidia Tote. Under Alessandro Michele at the helm, the creative direction at the House plays with prints, colors, and materials to bring designs to life. While many collections focus on bold pairings, sometimes a slight update to classic elements gives the perfect added touch. We delved into the world of Gucci’s new Black Denim line, and it’s a collection I keep coming back to. Probably because of the ease of wearability tied to the cornerstone designs, but these are bags I truly adore, especially after seeing them in person.

If you rely on black bags to round out your collection, as most of us do, but want a modern touch, Gucci’s Black Denim line may be precisely what you need. I will forever be partial to the Horsebit 1955, it’s still one of my favorite bags to date, and this iteration only makes me love it more. There’s the Jackie in a mini size which is super fun if you are still on the micro kick, but it also comes in the size that will fit more of your everyday items. So many of us need a throw-everything-in tote, and this one is great and won’t show as much wear. And this Dionysus Chain Bag gives that edgy-cool finish to any outfit you are wearing.

Each design features Gucci heritage elements through a contemporary lens, with black and ivory GG denim jacquard and black leather trim. I find myself coming back to these designs repeatedly; which is your favorite?
