Gucci Debuts New Bags (and More) In Its Fall 2024 Campaign

Featuring a ton of Gucci Rosso...

For Fall 2024, Sabato de Sarno continues to build upon his vision at the House of Gucci, offering a touch of heritage with a modern spin. He aims to change how we dress and believes there are no more rules when it comes to fashion.

While ready-to-wear oozes a distinct edge with an innately feminine feel, bags focus on contemporary finishes with ties to Gucci’s heritage. Of course, the timeless Jackie Notte remains an essential part of the brand’s line-up, sitting alongside new bags like the Half-Moon bag and the new Gucci B bag.

New and Noteworthy

Clearly a major player this season, the relaxed, chic B bag is the star of the campaign. Standing out thanks to its oversized silhouette and distinct doublesnap hook hardware, the style is evocative of archival designs dating as far back as the 1950s.

Another newbie to the scene, the GG Milano is an extremely wearable silhouette, playing on the season’s top-handle trend, it pays tribute to the city of Milan.

The style represents change, both for the House as it enters a new chapter and for Sabato De Sarno as he embarks on his new life in Milan. The city serves as inspiration for the designer, and the GG Milano is said to embody the spirit of the city, infused with its creative energy.

These models look miserable. The product doesn’t look appetizing or engaging except for really the Jackie mostly due to that vivacious fresh orange color. I’m still not convinced.

Robert

Models looking miserable in fashion has been a topic discussed ad nauseam for the past 30 years, can you at least try to find something remotely interesting to say about the topic?

Paris

They really do! Like they are being forced to model against their will and they are clearly not happy about it!. 😊

Julia

Blame the artistic director, not the models. They’re just doing a job.

V B

Literally saw these same bags in 2002-2003

Jacquie

Totally! I still have them too, time to break out my old hobo’s. At least we have bag organizers now, back then a hobo was just. Black hole.

Some of these are nice and I love the deep reds so I went on the Gucci website to check over the latest offering and honestly prices are crazy. Don’t get me wrong I know it’s luxury, and I have the discretionary income to spend, but it all just feels so mass produced and greedy. Thinking of putting a $2k limit on future purchases (previous budget $8k) but if that means I have to go pre loved I’m good with that, at least it’s sustainable.

Articles like this leave me uncomfortable. Concerning who supposedly is the author.

I do not mind Purseblog serving us sales pitches from the fashion brands and designers – I totally understand that this is an important and necessary part of the business model that provides us with our dearly loved Purseblog and Purseforum.

What makes me uncomfortable is when articles like this one are credited to /supposedly written (or edited?) by Kaitlin.

This and many similar articles of late seem to me to bear no resemblance to Kaitlin’s personal style of writing. I feel I am reading line after line of nonsensical quotes of the brands’ presentations and sales pitches.

Which would be OK if the brand or marketing department were clearly credited as the source. AND had not the name of a member of the Purseblog team/staff been placed between the heading and the text, indicating that Kaitlin is author./journalist.

I may be making an assumption about your comment, but I read this as a worry about whether we use AI for posts or just post what a brand sends us. We do not and will not!

Part of what we cover on our site as campaigns that are released, and brands do have messaging that they’d like included – so that is why it can read stiff.

I will keep it in mind for future posts like this in order to keep it feeling more authentic to our voices!

Susan

Some of these posts are just repackaged press releases.

Amy

Isn’t the big GG done at this point?

Susan

One would hope. 🤣

Sandy

I love the Jackie, and the coats!

Amanda R

I like the burgundy leather set. I think those are shorts with it? A mini skirt would have been better, though imo.
