One of the threads I tend to always find myself endlessly scrolling on our forums is the ones related to sharing purchases fellow members have made. Sometimes this gives me new jewelry ideas (I am currently saving pictures of Cartier stacks I love) and other times I get to live vicariously through others new purchases. The Louis Vuitton subforum, one of our most active, has a lively group of LV lovers sharing their newest acquisitions, and these are my favorite June and July purchases.
You will see three major themes that repeat, including the newly released Monoglam collection, summer collections, and a lot of pink and purple hues, which fall right in line with Barbiecore summer. Overall, our forum members have been busy shopping all summer!
The New and Loved Monoglam
From the minute this line was shown, LV fans went wild for it! The new Monoglam line line-up features classic bags in different colorways with holographic jacquard material. The cotton and lurex combination is laminated, which leaves a shiny effect, and as many of our members have shared, these bags come to life in natural light!
Summer Ready LV
Louis Vuitton released not one but two LV By the Pool Collections, so its penchant for creating bags that speak to the beloved warm travel season is evident. These bags, from limited edition to light hues to specialty prints, make for the ideal getaway companion.
Pretty in Pink and Purple
The Barbiecore summer and obsession with pink and purple hues have been seen across brands, and Louis Vuitton does it well. From a touch of exotic to bright hues of pink to retro patent pink, there is a super girly option for everyone!
The Sentimental
As Lori poignantly shared, “I can’t believe I was able to get this bag. I wished for it but never believed it would happen. It’s the Capucines BB from Nicolas Ghesquière’s LV Symphony. I randomly walked into my boutique on Saturday, and there it was on the shelf. Music has meaning to me because my mom was a professional pianist and died from covid in 2020 before vaccines were available. According to my SA, there was only one other in a New York store unless it sold this weekend. I am completely amazed that it’s mine. The second pic is the bag on the piano that I inherited from her. Both my parents are gone, maybe this was a sign or gift from them?”.
This is exactly why bags hold such a special place in my heart. While plenty of times, they are there to serve the purpose of carrying items, other times, they hold our most prized and valuable comfort items or remind us of something far deeper than merely an item meant to carry goods.
