Current Obsession: All the Gucci Animals

You know those memes about how you are still waiting to grow up, and even as an adult with a family, you call your mom for help? Hi, it’s me. I had this notion that when I was an ‘adult,’ I would feel like I had my life figured out. I would feel like I knew the right answer for everything. I would feel very secure in all the choices I made.

Let me tell you what: I do not. I have learned to accept that I am a work in progress, that I am being met with challenges daily that I could not anticipate but will find a way to handle, and that looking to others for help is a good thing, not a weakness.

I also still have this side of me that is a kid at heart. I vividly remember the year Santa brought me a mood ring, a Lava Lamp, and Vans shoes, which was one of the best Christmas of my life. I also get far more excited when Millie and Vaughn are picking a new stuffed animal than I’d like to admit, and I tell them exactly which one I would have picked as a kid (that I still would pick as an adult).

This leads me to the joy and childlike wonder I felt when I first saw Gucci’s animal-centric bags and accessories. They are whimsical and playful and speak to the side of me that I always want to nurture. Plus, as a forever Gucci girl, they also speak to that luxury fashion side of me.

All in all, these might top my holiday wishlist.

Gucci Owl

The Owl symbolizes wisdom, and this cute little bag charm spoke to me first. I really am just a young, vibrant kid trapped in a mom-of-two who runs a business body.

Gucci Cat

While we are not a cat family (Vlad, my mom, and my brother are all highly allergic), Millie has been drawn to cats from birth. All kinds of cats – from the house variety to the big cats, we are surrounded by figures of cats in our house, and it brings me joy!

Gucci Panda

The Panda is near and dear to many for its symbolism of peace, harmony, and friendship. The Panda also plays an integral part in my family. When he was a kid, my brother drew my dad and himself as ‘sleepy pandas’ on a family tree, and we talk about it to this day. Whenever we are tired, we say, ‘I’m such a sleepy panda!’

Gucci Dog

You may have already seen my favorite new bag charm, my Gucci Dog, which I adorn on my Gucci Emblem bag. He’s playful and makes me smile, like every other SLG he shows up on for Gucci. Something about a Dachshund it just makes me happy!
