When Fendi presented its Fall 2025 collection, closing out its centennial year, it did so with an incredible bang. The Fendi Spy bag was back.
Returning to the runway twenty years after it was first introduced by Silvia Venturini Fendi, the Spy bag was an icon of a generation. Now, it has returned for its second coming. With its return comes the chance for a new generation of fans to experience the It-bag, and Fendi is celebrating with new campaign images starring modern-day It-girls Amelia Gray, Gabbriette, and Xiao Wen Ju.
Given its name for its sneaky appeal, the new Fendi Spy bag gets a slight revamp, but its secretive attitude remains. A small hidden pocket underneath the bag’s flap is further defined by a sleek gold bar, much like the original. What’s noticeably absent is the archival silhouette’s hidden tube pocket.
“I liked the idea of the secret compartment because a bag is a place where you keep your most intimate belongings. It’s an extension of yourself.” – Silvia Venturini Fendi.
A Legendary Revival: The Fendi Spy Bag Returns

Arriving in two sizes, regular and small, the Fendi Spy is given a soft, subtle touch—it’s truly a representation of old meets new. What remains is the silhouette’s iconic and instantly recognizable shape.
The new Fendi Spy is crafted from smooth calfskin leather in a stunning palette of neutrals and soft pastels. Other luxe materials include shearling, mink, and eel skin, which is intricately designed to mimic Fendi’s iconic Pequin stripes.
The Fendi Spy launches worldwide on July 17th, 2025, but you can be among the first to receive it if you pre-order now. Discover more below and via Fendi.com.
A Modern It-Bag for a New Generation

All I see are stinky, sweaty armpits leaving stains on the bag.
Not Loving The Handles On Them…
That XL bag charm is disturbing.
Gah!! Not gone lie, I bought a knock-off of this bag 20 years ago on Canal Street when I was young & didn’t know any better. Despite the ridiculous price tag, I’d love to have an authentic one. The pastel colors are dreamy. 😊
Nice bag, although IMO, it strongly resembles the Gucci softbit. I would go for the Gucci version. If you would choose the Fendi, why? (not being confrontational, I have no recollection of the Fendi bag, so am simply curious)
It was one of the first hit bags and was everywhere. Some people will buy this new version because of the nostalgia.
Personally, I find these to be less interesting than the original ones. But, to each his (her!) own. I’m going to pull mine out and put them in the rotation.
Saks Beverly Hills already has them. My personal shopper, Charles, sent his clientele photos of them in store. I know he would assist anyone interested. Personally, I’m not a fan of this bag, but I know some people like them.
All of these revival bags….seems like just yesterday the original’s were released and I was reading about them right here on Purse Blog lol. I was a young professional and would start my day with Purse Blog while eating my breakfast at my desk. It’s wild seeing all these re-releases. So nostalgic.
Right?! It’s so nostalgic to see!!! I’m so happy we’ve had you with us for so long!
I am so ready for this bag! I never had the Spy in the 2000s, but I am going to make sure I have this one!
The original design I had some 20 years ago wasn’t made as well as it should have been. The metal “snap” closure on the vertical secret “tube” would wear out and wouldn’t close, even after gentle usage, so you couldn’t even hide aspirin or tampons in it! Looked cool but not practical by any stretch. Not worth the pricetag then or now, in my experience.
It’s gorgeous, I sold two of my bags after enjoying them
I need some advice here….. So basically my cousin ordered a first copy replica of YSL crossbody bag from a website called Wristova last week. Her sister has the same bag, but it’s original. And honestly none of us could tell the differences. I was so amazed! Thats when I thought it might be smarter to just get a superclone with amazing quality from a trusted place, instead of throwing money at the original because in the end, no one can really tell whether you’re carrying a real thing or a replica….. now I’d love to hear your opinions. What do you all think??
What a poor attempt at selling and directing traffic.
You are in the wrong place 👋🏻
Fakes are never okay – bless your heart
