Presented as part of the Spring/Summer 2026 fashion show, the Fendi Way Bag feels inherently familiar. The design largely plays off the famed Fendi Peekaboo, but there are distinctions. In fact, some of these changes make the bag feel like an updated version of that coveted Peekaboo, and that’s not a bad thing.
As a longtime Peekaboo lover (no really, I have 3 and could keep adding more and be delighted with each), that shape and style works for me. It feels very ladylike but offers practicality too. Plus, the many, many colorfully playful variations make it stand out that much more.
The Fendi Way
While this first felt like a Fendi Peekaboo love story (which it is in part), it is also an introduction to the Fendi Way Bag. The idea behind this bag is pairing soft leather with a spacious silhouette for more usability.
While I haven’t seen the bag in person yet, per the photos, it actually offers more of a ‘peek’ than its sister bag. As Fendi does, the interior offers different color pairings, making the bag feel like an art piece rather than a plain bag. The iconic twist lock still sits front and center, which is your way in and out of the bag.
The main distinction is that there is no center compartment, meaning this is a single interior area, unlike the two offered with the Peekaboo. And while I am personally a major fan of interior compartments, sometimes they don’t work as well as I’d like. With the large opening, you can probably fit more (and find more easily). The medium size holds a tablet, a large wallet, and other small necessities.
Another design difference is that the handle strap is adjustable! You read that right, it’s adjustable! That is an addition that makes this bag become a whole new bag, with options to carry it by hand or fling it over the shoulder. With my Peekaboo bags, I often opt for the optional shoulder strap, but I wound up needing to purchase a wider strap to make it feel comfortable on me. This change makes this bag easily slide onto your arm, and fling off when you are done.

Saw the medium i 3 colours in store today, the dove grey, the burgundy and the black. It’s a nice bag but I decided against.
the bag is only special when carries open, and because it is a shoulder, I would most likely carry it closed. For now, I decided that there are better bags out there for me, but I might change my mnd when they release more interesting colourways.

I am going to have to think about purchasing the Fendi Way in the Dove gray. Over the years I have purchased several Fendi bags and have never been disappointed with their quality. Looks like the perfect shape for me but I would like to see it before I purchase.
