While we’ve all been occupied with sale season (and for good reason), the new arrivals sections at our favorite retailers have been quietly filling up with brand new bags to peruse and contemplate. Many of these bags are new colors and embellishments of old favorites, but some of them are even more interesting: new structures of existing bags or brand new designs unto themselves.

We did a thorough sweep of our favorite sites to find the most noteworthy new arrivals of Pre-Fall 2016, many of which are available immediately. Our list includes big new launches like the Givenchy Horizon and Prada Esplanade totes, as well as less splashy new bags and new spins on bags we already love. Check them all out below.

Is the Balenciaga bag just a new size? It doesn’t really look “new”. Love the new Chloe!

Cannot believe I am about to say this, but the Proenza Schouler is gorgeous! Perhaps, it is just the name? My grandmother’s name was Hava.

That PS is the standout of the bunch. PS has some sleeper hits here and there that depart from what we expect from the brand. For example I wouldn’t have ever thought I’d buy PS until I fell in love with their Small Courier which looks nothing like their typical. I’m loving this new bag and may have to buy!

I thought that Prada Esplanade bag was a LV City Steamer for a sec there

I agree, but in a good way. It’s like all the stuff that was irritating me about the LV (those ugly handle attachments, for starters) were fixed for this bag. I really like it.

Me three! One could save $500 by buying the Prada and it has as much cache.

Agree. And actually, of the two, I’d prefer the Prada. I think they upgraded the design to something better looking that the steamer.

Me too — I had to look twice at the photo to be sure it wasn’t LV. Seems like someone at Prada has been eyeing the LV Steamer and asking WWMKD (what would Michael Kors do?). Schade, Prada!

That Miu Miu Dahlia in a slightly bigger size is TDF!! I have seen it on celebrities especially the yellow version and I cannot wait to get my hands on it! Not the small size as shown here but the medium version. thank you Amanda!

I don’t like the thick goldtone chain, it reminds me of MK too much.

Love number #17 everything else just screams “old lady” to me perhaps it’s the colors of the bags.

I am really drawn to the shape of the Jimmy Choo Mardy- I love that it’s a softer silhouette. I am also pleased to see movement towards using other finishes than saffiano leathers. It is nice to see a few different textures for a change. I know that suedes and nubucks are harder to care for, but paired with the fall colour palette of earthy tones, they have such a rich look!

I worship the Olsens and adore The Row, but that Two for One bag looks like a lunchbox. Like one of the ones by Thirty-One. I love the wang bag. It’s grown on me a lot.

design houses are literally running out of ideas. that alexander wang attica bag is clearly a wannabe of the hermes kelly or celine belt bag. prada esplanade is a wannabe of the lv city steamer. many of the above bags are nice but it seems everyone is just churning out bags these days and praying for a hit. this is why we always go back our various classics…
