IN COLLABORATION WITH BVLGARI
While many recognize Bvlgari as a historic maker of Roman high jewelry, its offerings extend well beyond its celebrated jewelry and watches. Today, this includes Bvlgari’s line of handbags, which exude the same iconic craft, bold design, and distinct DNA as its jewelry.
First introduced in 2011, Bvlgari’s handbags are entering a new era in 2026, experiencing a major renaissance under the direction of Bvlgari’s first-ever Creative Director of leather goods and accessories, Mary Katrantzou.
While Katrantzou officially joined Bvlgari in 2024, she’s collaborated with the brand in various ways since 2019, making her appointment a natural fit. Joining Bvlgari allowed Katrantzou to further explore the House’s iconic Serpenti motif, which is not only one of the brand’s most important emblems but has been integral to Katrantzou’s relationship with Bvlgari since her first collaboration with the brand.
A New Chapter for Serpenti
The Serpenti motif, which symbolizes wisdom, rebirth, and vitality, has been used in Bvlgari’s designs for over 75 years, and last year, Katrantzou introduced one of the most stunning, modern takes on the storied emblem with the Serpenti Cuore 1968 Bag.
Shaped like a heart, which its name ‘Cuore’ perfectly describes, the Serpenti Cuore 1968 Bag emphasizes the unmatched power of combining high jewelry know-how with the craftsmanship of leather goods, blurring the lines between wearable art and functional accessory.
The introduction of the Serpenti Cuore 1968 Bag further proved the Serpenti motif’s enduring power, and it became an instant cult favorite, leading to the introduction of the fun-sized, rainbow-hued Serpenti Cuoricino.
Meet the Serpenti Cuoricino
A miniature take on Bvlgari’s most innovative Serpenti bag yet, the Serpenti Cuoricino is defined by its tiny heart-shaped silhouette and signature snake handle, which draws on the codes and craftsmanship of Bvlgari’s Serpenti line of jewelry and watches.
Though shrunken down, it’s the details of the Serpenti Cuoricino that warrant a second (or third) look, like its snake handle, crafted from gold-plated brass hardware. Its distinct, heart-shaped body is crafted from the richest leather, a touch of padding adding a tactile, eye-catching element to the bag’s unmistakable shape.
This extraordinary addition to the Serpenti family delights with its vast rainbow of colors and playfully elegant appeal. Part micro bag, part wearable art, this is not a bag you wear to blend in; it’s an accessory you wear to stand out, an extension of your outfit that truly encapsulates Bvlgari’s vision.
A distinct accessory that, though small, commands attention no matter how it’s worn, the Cuoricino’s bold design and thoughtful details can seamlessly be styled from day to night—no matter the occasion. Plus, its vast offerings mean there is an iteration to suit every mood.
Think bold Citrine for a bright, sunny afternoon, moving from brunch to shopping and beyond; deep red for a girls’ night out; or dressed in crystals for a black-tie event.
Speaking of wear, the bag arrives with an option jewelry-like chain strap, allowing for shoulder or crossbody wear. The Serpenti Cuoricino retails for $2,630 and is available in Royal Ruby, Dusty Pink, Tangerine Garnet, Sunbeam Citrine, and Feroza Turquoise, as well as in two Neige Pavé Crystal iterations, crafted from more than 4,600 Swarovski crystals. The Neige Pavé Crystal iterations retail for $4,650.
