Chanel’s runway shows are truly in a league of their own, but when it comes to haute couture, it’s a whole other ballgame. Haute couture showcases exclusive, unique, handmade garments that are custom-fitted for individual customers—and its shows attract the best of the best editors, celebrities, and VICs.
While bags occasionally appear on the runway during a couture show, when it comes to bag news, it’s outside the shows where the front-page-worthy sightings happen. The vast majority of bags you’ll see arrive during the show’s arrivals, and this year was no different!
While Chanel’s very loyal fanbase never disappoints, this year’s bags were even better than ever, with limited-edition bags, the classics, and, as expected, plenty of Matthieu Blazy’s Chanel! Blazy’s ponyhair print from Métiers d’Art, seen on clutches, classic bags, and more, was a favorite this season, and we’re once again reminded of how well the House of Chanel has cemented its modern relevance in the ever-changing world of luxury.

Gosh, I love everything about Blazy’s Chanel.
The giraffe bag is kind of cute, but I would never buy it since it’s more of a novelty.
