Earlier this year, Fendi presented its Fall 2021 collection, which was also the RTW debut of Kim Jones, and as expected the collection drew attention from many. It seemed to be a hit almost universally, possessing the perfect mix of innovation, fashion and functionality while still oozing luxury. Now, further enhancing the aesthetic put fourth during the presentation, Fendi has introduced a look at its Winter 2021 Capsule. The season’s signatures are translated in a modern and wearable way, while being a complete representation of the new Fendi House Codes, a press release for the capsule stated.
New motifs are brought to life within the capsule, like bold marble prints that trace back to Kim Jones’ Couture debut, but this time they are reimagined in a bold psychedelic palette of yellows, oranges and teals as well as a more everyday blue version. The print appears on RTW as well as bags like the iconic Peekaboo and new Fendi First Bag. The bold patterns are complimented by stark neutrals like camel, winter white and peacock blue. Other silhouettes like the Sunshine Shopper, and the Baguette are reimagined with seasonal touches. A material that is handcrafted using a technique known as “carpet embroidery” appears on the Peekaboo and the First in a marbled shaved velvet, reflecting the true essence and savoir-faire of Fendi.

Love the textures and shapes of the bags. The marble effect looks better on the bags than the clothes but I’m super impressed. Loving all the iterations of the peekaboo.

I love the capsules that Fendi has done! I remember how gorgeous the haute couture capsule was…this is absolutely stunning. Kim Jones has really done an incredible job..always stays true to the heritage and house codes while transforming. Silvia Fendi, who is in charge of bags & accessories, has done the same in celebrating the beautiful heritage of the Italian craftsmanship(I love how she created the video featuring the Baguette, artisans going back generations using the same incredible (much of it handmade) techniques from different regions of Italy. Just sumptuous. Also, Silvia’s daughter creating the jewelry-I am in love with the Fendi First collection. It is encompasses both Fendi savoir faire and a refreshing, innovative shape. So luxurious. I also love your post on the exquisite bags from the FW Haute Couture. That collection is what haute couture dreams are made of-I love the Italian Renaissance, and the celebration of Rome as a city with the inspiration of Bernini’s sculptures-the exquisite, masterful manifestation of all that and opulent, luxurious fabrics and details; which of course you see in the iconic bags…Love!
