Prada Outfits Bags in Ombre for Spring 2023

And we are obsessed...

Prada Cleo Ombre

When dynamic duo Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons presented Prada’s Fall 2022 bags early last year, it felt like an iconic representation of today’s Prada. The pair continued their modern exploration of emblematic House codes, reinventing House emblems and introducing new shapes and silhouettes.

The ultra-sleek Prada Supernova Bag made its debut for the Fall 2022 season, offering up classic Prada with a modern feel. Immediately, certain renditions of the new House staple offered a bit of nostalgia. The brushed ombre leather versions felt reminiscent of Prada’s ever-popular Ombre Glace bags from the 2000s, and now, Prada is expanding on the technique with new ombre renditions that are delightfully dashing.

Ombre Obsessed

While ombre is a fun technique that adds a unique flair to a handbag, it’s also tricky to get right. The transition from one color to the next has to be done ever so specifically in order to appear truly blended, offering a seamless gradient that isn’t streaky or color-blocked. Prada nails it once again this season with stunning versions of some of its most popular bags in varying ombre hues. And whether you’re looking for a bag in brushed leather or Prada’s sturdy House staple Saffiano leather, Prada nails the ombre technique seamlessly.

The sophisticated, ’90s-Esque Cleo Shoulder Bag remains a favorite of fashion girls, and it’s just one of the silhouettes given a playful gradient touch. Shades of ombre pink, aqua, or white add an eye-catching allure with an airbrushed finish that is applied by hand. In Saffiano, Prada outfits its Galleria, Panier, and Double bags in the airbrushed finish as well for a more durable take on the ombre technique. The perfect combination of classic Prada meets contemporary, these ombre bags will make the perfect addition to your spring wardrobe, and the Prada Cleo is one I keep coming back to season after season. “Iconic” is by far the most overused word on PurseBlog.

Coming in at a close second are “house”, “emblems”, and “codes”.

Love these bags now but I feel like I would hate them in a year.

I really like the double bag, but almost $5,000 seems crazy. I just don’t know where these brands think they’re going with these prices. Fewer and fewer people are going to be interested in buying multiple bags a year when every one is the equivalent of a luxury vacation, or multiple mortgage payments. I bought a bottega and a Chanel at the end of last year and then thought I might be insane when I realized I’d spend $11,000 on a couple bags. At least those two feel like they could be forever bags for me. I couldn’t do it for something that feels trendy.
