It’s not often, but every once in a while, a bag debuts that instantly feels like an icon in the making, and that’s exactly what happened when Prada introduced the Bonnie bag for the Spring 2024 season. Presented in a range of shades, from neutrals to more colorful hues alike, the bag’s of-the-moment east-west silhouette, and understated elegance, yet cool-girl appeal, just felt like it.
Still, the buzz surrounding this bag was initially quiet, until a suede iteration took the fashion world by storm, selling out almost immediately, securing its permanent place in the Prada line-up. The bag works so well because it feels at once modern and timeless, a rare balance that the brand continues to strike.
A Seasonal Refresh for Summer 2026
For the summer season, the Bonnie bag further cements its place within Prada’s offering, refreshed and revived alongside a range of warm-weather pieces introduced in the Days of Summer 2026 collection, which captures the nonchalance and ease of the season through Prada’s distinct lens.
Year after year, Prada has perfected the art of summer dressing in a way that feels familiar yet continually fresh, and this season, the Bonnie bag’s latest iteration feels like just that—new and exciting. While the collection embraces summer classics like crochet and raffia, the Bonnie bag arrives in linen, offering an unexpected take on the fan-favorite silhouette.
The selection includes a Bonnie bag in white printed linen trimmed with leather. Its abstract earthy motif offers a casual, cool take on a summer staple—the white bag. Elsewhere, the Mini Bonnie arrives in beige linen trimmed with brown calfskin, its natural hue offering a subtle nautical sensibility.
Heritage Details, Modern Appeal
Both iterations, available in medium and mini sizes, are further defined by belted detailing—a brand signifier woven throughout Prada’s collections since the ’80s. While the Bonnie bag may at first glance feel distinctly modern, its signature belts hint at the house’s enduring heritage.
If you’re looking for a grab-and-go design that feels both seasonal and elevated, Prada has reimagined the classic summer tote this season. Soft suede with the perfect amount of slouch meets of-the-moment crochet, and the result offers the functional appeal of a tote with a chic perspective.
The Prada Summer State of Mind
As to be expected, the collection extends well beyond the bags, and Prada has once again mastered the art of sun-soaked style. Lingerie-inspired slips, delicately embroidered linens, and printed summer dresses are juxtaposed with workwear jackets, boyish boxer shorts, and effortless separates primed for warm-weather temps.
Whether lounging seaside, hitting the beach, or hosting a dinner al fresco, Prada Days of Summer has something to suit every mood.

I really don’t understand why prada would enter a partnership with meta at a point in time where the brand is apparently doing well enough to buy versace and was looked upon in favor by the public. I can’t look at miumiu or prada anymore without linking the brands to hyper surveillance and the exploitation of women in particular. why would you, as a brand, be interested in becoming part of that unless you are just as vile as zuckerberg and his goons
You’ll be fine.
How is this “unexpected”?

Thanks! I didn’t realize it was an ad.
The Bonnie is such a great shape and I like the different canvas designs! So fun!
I wish that first dress wasn’t a mini dress because I’d buy it so fast!
I went to the store this weekend and wound up buying the small linen Bonnie you shared! I’m so excited to carry it all summer long 🙂
