Some of the bags are nice. I have never thought investing in a summer bag necessary, I just take my Neverfull to the beach.
I’ve seen quite a few people doing that but I would hate to get sand all over a nice bag. Maybe poolside. But then again the Goyard St. Louis was designed to be a beach tote.
For so many years I’ve used my different Goyard totes for a one and done-especially when traveling – travel bag; beach tote; day to day bag; a St. Louis pm can even go to casual dinners. And best of all they can be cleaned with disinfecting wipes! So hard to pack a raffia tote without damaging it.
St Louis is the best beach/ travel bag. I stopped using my raffia bags completely after I got the st Louis maybe years ago. It’s so uncomfortable to pack raffia and then sand… such a pain to clean

The Chanel and the Balenciaga bags look like the designer took their flagship bag and forced the raffia material into it just so they could have a style for summer. It doesn’t look right.
