Louis Vuitton’s Fall 2024 Bags Are Here

Louis Vuitton signatures with a contemporary edge

Louis Vuitton’s Fall 2024 collection tells a ten-year story. The story of a decade of Nicolas Ghesquière at the helm of Louis Vuitton. The collection includes odes to the past, featuring references from many of Ghesquière’s past collections.

When it comes to the bags, there are clear nods to the Maison’s roots in travel and its history in trunk-making, both of which have been integral to Ghesquière’s design process from the very beginning. Take, for example, the Petite Malle, which was the designer’s first handbag design for the House.

A Myriad of Monogram and More

The luggage-inspired mini trunk reappeared on the runway alongside a myriad of other bags, including a parade of classic Monogram. New campaign images have launched alongside the collection, showcasing standout bags and more from the much-anticipated collection.

Silhouettes include a range of designs from everyday sacs to smaller bags, totes, crossbody bags, and more; a wide variety of silhouettes take on Louis Vuitton’s most emblematic House codes.

The collection is extremely bag-heavy, offering a bit of something for everyone, including leather options like the GO-14 and Slim Trunk. Discover some of our favorites below, and view the full selection now on Louis Vuitton.com.

The bags are fine, but the elephant in the room is the outfit of the model with the CarryAll Dark MM. It looks like a scarf, that slipped down, and she can’t be bothered to pull it up.

It’s fashion, darling, it’s fashion!

I can see what you mean, though I think I understand the concept. The goal is to provide juxtaposition: between the ultra-structured, severe lines of the suit and shoes, and the unstructured, billowing lines of the “scarf” and the bag itself.

I agree with you, though, that it’s jarring, and unflatteringly so. This is a runway look that doesn’t translate well to studio editing. (I wonder what the “scarf” is attached to. I’m guessing the knit top?)

Back to topic; surprisingly, none of the bags featured speak to me. I know the P9 Speedy cannot be featured in every campaign, but I so wish it were. It’s perhaps my favorite Vuitton bag release since the pandemic.

It’s more like toilet paper caught in her skirt…

Ha ha!!!

I agree, that fabric loop is superfluous and an accident waiting to happen. The hat would go well in some men’s secret society where they wear fringed waist scarves and spangly vests and greet each other with a secret handshake.
Don’t get me started on the prices for those bags. 😑

I’m still waiting to see those Epi bags in the rich colors that were shown in an earlier column. None of them are on the LV site yet (at least not the France one). Of course, LV has cut way down on the variety of bags shown on their websites, which is a shame, esp for potential buyers who don’t live within reasonable proximity to a boutique they can go visit in person.

Barbara

I’ve been looking for those, too!

Slim

So, over these high end unbelievably pricey bags! It’s time to enjoy more life and fun things!

Mama

Sounds like you have been priced out?

There was a great article in Vogue today about NG’s tenure at Louis Vuitton.

i would buy all those trunks ……the bags…. not so much…..i still fail to share N.G vision at vuitton ….. aside form the pettit malle and all its spin offs its so lacking..i may not be the most neutral and objective since i grew up with the marc jacobs era but…. again I truly miss marc.
