An Inside Look at On The Wings of Hermès

Plus, information for how to experience the show in Santa Monica for free

Over the weekend, Hermès showed its creative and imaginary universe to a group of editors, celebrities, fashion insiders, and influencers in Santa Monica, California. This poetic and cinematic performance brings to life many of the Maison’s most famed items, from bags to homewares to silks.

This show was created for the house by the Belgian duo, director Jaco van Dormael and choreographer Michèle Anne de Mey, together with the Astragales dance company. There’s beauty in everything Hermès, and the playful side that showcases the craftsmanship along with the elegance in materials has been put at the forefront on its website, display windows, as well as events like this.

I was able to see video clips of attendees, and this is an event anyone would be lucky to attend. The thrill and wonderment of the brand come to life in an artistic and all-encompassing manner that is unexpected, from bags singing to delicate hands of craftsmen sewing, in a combination of live action being transposed on screen.

Entry is free for the public, but you will need to register. If you can make it, this is a can’t-miss experience! The information is below for anyone in the Santa Monica area.
