When speculation of an adidas x Gucci collaboration began circulating the internet late last year, both fashion folk and streetwear aficionados wondered if it was true or just a well-hyped rumor. Then, Gucci debuted its fall 2022 collection at Milan Fashion Week and it was immediately apparent that the rumors were in fact, true. Today, we’ve got a treat in the form of brand new lookbook images that tease the collection, which is coming soon (details below!).

Introducing adidas x Gucci

adidas x Gucci melds two iconic emblems into one, juxtaposing two worlds, fashion, and sports, to make one. The lookbook showcases a myriad of items, from bags and accessories to RTW and, of course, sneakers. The collection expands upon the distinct streetwear pieces that made their debut on the runway, combining the storied heritage of each brand. Bright prints and bold graphics meld two iconic logos.

The adidas Trefoil and three stripes, which have become a staple of the streetwear world, are mixed with Gucci’s most important House emblems like the Interlocking G, Horsebit, Gucci Web, and GG Monogram canvas. The collection further reflects both brands’ shared commitment to innovation and sustainability. Multiple pieces are crafted with eco-conscious fabrications, including polyester, cotton, and viscose.

The Bags of adidas x Gucci

When it comes to the bags, and there are many, each silhouette from the adidas x Gucci collection perfectly infuses each brand’s heritage. Gucci’s Beloved lines, like the Horsebit 1955, which is defined by the equestrian-inspired Horsebit, are reimagined to include adidas’ iconic trefoil symbol. Small and large duffle bags, which are an ode to sport bags, appear in bright colors with each brand’s logo. Then, there are mini bags and more that appear in classic GG Supreme canvas.

The first images from the adidas x Gucci lookbook are presented below, ahead of the collection’s launch on June 7th in select Gucci stores, Pop-Ups, and Gucci.com. Discover the collection below and visit Gucci.com to learn more.

Not sure what to think of this collaboration. I don’t see anything I can say I really like. I expected the fusion of two worlds but see only two labels stuck with each other in a hurry. 🫤

Well, am waiting for a red large duffle bag, a red camera bag, two pair of sneakers, belt and show collection ready to wear pieces! Hardly can’t wait to touch them with my hands in next month.
Well done Gucci.

I can see this collab for the younger 20-something crowd, but also think it may be out of their price range too. All these looks remind me of fitness images from the 1970’s.

Personally, if I’m buying a Gucci bag, it’s not going to have Adidas on it. Adidas isn’t a luxury brand so I don’t get the collab. I’m sure the pricing will be Gucci pricing, not Adidas pricing. This collection is not for me.

Definitely would NOT buy a Gucci bag with an Adidas name/logo on it. Why would anyone want to advertise for them unless they paid you and gave you a bag to wear.

There are lots of people who are devoted Adidas fans. This is similar the Nike + LV collaboration being released right now.

I like the travel bags and I really like some of the clothing. I would not spend money on a handbag that says Adidas on it.

Hmm – this should have Adidas pricing or slightly higher😳 when The Pricier labels collab with Target H&M and other economy or lower priced brands – many have been sold as like a limited edition but in the lower brands universe . I recall One of the lux brands did a collab with a sneaker brand maybe it was Nike – I thought that was odd but Nike is really known for some limited edition elite priced sneakers. I like Adidas but not sure I would pay that kind of money.

I am a huge fan of Adidas so I really like this collection. With that being said, I’m certain that it will be waaaay out of my price range.

I expected more from this collab. The Gucci x Northface was better. Everything will still sell out regardless lol.

I love the weekender bags and backpack! They stood out to me the most.

The prints are really successful. The retro vibe fits both brands perfectly.
