Gucci Reimagines Its Beloved Icons for Its Ouverture Of Something That Never Ended Collection

A look at stunning new iterations of the Marmont, Horsebit and more

Last fall, Gucci presented its new collection, called Ouverture Of Something That Never Ended. The collection was presented during GucciFest in a 7-part mini-series of short films that showcased pieces from the new collection by Alessandro Michele. Now, some of the collection’s best bags have hit Gucci.com and today we’re taking a look at shapes from the collection featuring fresh iterations of some of Gucci’s most beloved bags.

Signature styles like the Marmont, Dionysus and Horsebit are seen in vibrant colors meant to embody the precious nature of gemstones. The traditional quilted matelassé pattern typically seen on the Marmont bag appears in a diagonal finish and the bag is made complete with tonal eye-catching enamel GG hardware. The Dionysus and the Horsebit are shown in bold colors as well with contrasting color-blocked detailing. Some colorways feature tonal details while others are shown with a contrasting trim. These iterations enhance the Dionysus’ iconic and emblematic tiger head closure with the addition of shiny enamel to the distinct hardware.

The Gucci Beloved lines are a reference to the House’s storied past, but redefined to feel modern and fresh. Iconic motifs and styles that are so inherent and distinctly Gucci are renewed season after season, meant to be loved and worn again and again. These new iterations are no different and will transcend seasons and beyond. Discover the beloved bags below.
