The fashion world—including me—continues to be ruled by nostalgia, craving the simplicity of a bygone era, a time when life felt very different. Like most people, my life is vastly different from what it was fifteen or even ten years ago.
So when I mused a few years ago that it was time for Chloé to have a renaissance, what I really was craving was a nod to the past—and the go-with-the-flow time in my life when dressing distinctly boho (and very Chloé-esque) was my go-to.
Chloé’s Return to Romanticism
I craved a return to the Chloé of yesteryear, to the epitome of the #ChloéGirl, one that once again felt unmistakably girly and romantic, and when Chemena Kamali made her runway debut for Fall 2024, fashion rejoiced. I got my wish, and we were all collectively transported to another time in fashion (and our lives).
Kamali’s debut for Chloé signaled a return to the innately feminine, undeniably Parisian appeal that is deeply rooted in the brand’s DNA, and her vision continues to evolve each season. Chloé never left, but it is most certainly back at the forefront of fashion, with the bags of Chloé’s heyday returning, along with the brand’s distinctly lived-in, effortless vibe.
The Bag That Stole the Spring 2026 Show

For Spring 2026, Kamali deepened her relationship with the Chloé archives, revisiting the ’50s and ’60s and the collections of the brand’s earliest days. One bag stole the show—yes, I’m talking about THAT Chloé swan bag.
The Chloé Tropicus Swan Minaudière stole the spotlight thanks to its sweet shape and delicate watercolor-like details, which are actually hand-painted. A statement piece like no other, it has continued to live in my head rent-free (along with those jelly shoes, I might add).
Perfect for a vacation or simply a summer night out in the city, I didn’t need to be convinced, but I was when Dua Lipa clutched the cute Minaudière during her wedding weekend.
I couldn’t tell you what will actually fit inside, but I can tell you that I simply don’t care, and if I had a spare chunk of change, I’d be dangling Swany (she needs a name) in everyone’s face all summer long. This is one of those bags that I’ll likely forever regret not buying (but hey, there’s always resale when the time is right!). It feels wonderfully novel and niche, reminding us that fashion is meant to be fun!
