They’ve been called the “most controversial designer shoes,” and truthfully, I can understand why. Still, you can find me in the love camp, and I’m not afraid to admit it. Yes, I’m here to shout from the rooftops that I’m head-over-heels obsessed with the Chloé Jelly Mules.
First seen on the runway at Chloé’s Spring 2026 show, Chloé’s Jelly Mules look like a real-life version of a Barbie shoe—in the best way possible. Following the show, I saw these mystical shoes up close and personal at the brand’s Spring 2026 re-see in Paris.
A Nostalgic Classic, Reimagined by Chloé
While I am, of course, bag-focused at showroom appointments, seeing fresh-off-the-runway items IRL is always exciting, and I stopped in my tracks when I got a full look at Chloé’s jelly heels.
I immediately snapped a photo and mentally filed the shoes for later, only to forget about them until months later when Chloé’s new collection began to drop.
Now, I simply cannot get the shoes out of my head, as every time I turn around, I see yet another viral video oozing the exact energy I’d have if I were unboxing them. Perfectly suited for summer, Chloé’s Jelly Mules are a grown-up take on the jelly shoes we all loved as kids—and I am obsessed (sorry, no, I’m not sorry!)
Combining nostalgia with a chic whimsicality, these are the type of fun shoes I’d wear all summer long! Each time I see them, I feel that same familiar pang of infatuation, and it’s not long before I find myself wandering into Chloé’s Greene Street boutique after a brunch cocktail—or two.
The Summer Shoe I Can’t Stop Thinking About
Arriving in four colors—spearmint, amber brown, ash grey, and blush pink—the shoes are made from transparent TPU, offering the perfect low heel height (2.2 inches), a small peep toe, and a gathered knot detail.
This is the kind of shoe I’d wear with everything from jeans and tees for an effortlessly cool daytime look to more dressed-up outfits for summer nights out.
Are you team jelly?

$600 for molded plastic, which cost maybe $6 to make. Y’all are losing grip on reality.
I will never understand the appeal of plastic shoes! Walking around in these in the summer heat…no thanks.
if everything is viral, nothing is viral
My feet would sweat so much they would slip and make me trip and fall. And $600–no way.
