For Cruise 2025, Chanel celebrates the warm light and air of Marseille, embodying freedom of movement with nods to the ocean. The bags themselves are a perfect accompaniment to the looks, featuring a nice mix of novelty and classics.
In true Chanel fashion, this year’s selection includes rare colorways, including plenty of metallics, that will thrill and delight Chanel aficionados. This season, the runway also signaled a return to a Chanel classic: the camera bag. As seen on the runway, there was the simple yet unmistakably wearable take on the classic Chanel camera bag.
The new iteration trades the House’s iconic quilting for an ode to Chanel’s first address at 31 Rue Cambon in Paris. The Rue Cambon Camera bag is one of the collection’s more casual bags, appearing in light pistachio green, baby pink, and snow white hues. For novelty bag lovers, this collection is a true dream, with the usual sequins, tweeds, and metallics adorning House staples, both new and old.

It’s not difficult to be a Chanel designer. Always the same cuts, just other fabrics, sometimes shot or long … the same with the bags… Coco and Karl did good jobs and now …it’s always the same. Somehow.
