Celebrate the New Year With These Pantone Color of the Year Inspired Goodies

2020 is the year of classic blue...

Every year in December, color cataloging service Pantone picks a shade from its expansive archives that it thinks best represents the overall mood and aesthetic of the upcoming year. By the time the color is announced, it often can already be found popping up in designer collections and this year’s color is the perfect example. Though, when you think about it of course many products in this particular color can already be found . In fact if you dig into your closets chances are you’ve already got a bunch of ways to sport the 2020 color in your closet. The official name for this year’s color is ‘Classic Blue,’ and much like last year’s ‘Living Coral’ this one is already pretty prevalent in the fashion world.

While big designers have chosen to dig into their archives to bring back new versions of classic styles it’s not incredibly surprising that this years color has ‘classic’ in its name. Inspired by peace, tranquility and a bliss-filled tropical vacation, the color of the year is said to induce a gentle, calming affect and feelings of tranquility to the human spirit. In today’s environmental, political and economic climate aren’t these feelings we should all wish to posses? I’ve already found a fair bit of blue out there, check out our picks below!
