WOW!
Read the first word of the show notes for Bottega Veneta’s Spring 2025 Show, which took place in Milan over the weekend. The collection, like we’ve come to expect from Matthieu Blazy, did just that for attendees, who viewed the collection sitting atop animal bean bag chairs.
Those bean bag chairs, crafted in the shape of dogs, pandas, snakes, horses, whales, otters, and more, were commissioned from Zanotta by Matthieu Blazy and manufactured exclusively for Bottega Veneta. Walking into the show space and seeing the fun shapes waiting to be sat upon was the first inclination that the show itself would be incredibly playful.
Youthful Ties
Playful it was, inspired by the sense of adventure that lies within every day for a child, the exciting feeling that anything and everything is possible. Silhouettes embody Blazy’s inspirations, like misproportioned shapes meant to feel evocative of a child playing dress up in their parent’s closets.
Other garments echo the adventure of dressing for the day to day. Something that Blazy continues to do so well season after season is meld the ordinary with the extraordinary. Everyday essentials with an elevated appeal, simple shapes that focus on quality and craftâthis is Matthieu Blazy’s Bottega.
Flannel shirts, jeans, and tees were all present this season, alongside intricate, elevated pieces that are part fashion and part art. That artful touch extended to the accessories and bags, which included an array of shapes.
Bottega Favorite Reinvented
The new Liberta bag and the iconic Andiamo, which is newly fitted with a top handle, remained on the runway this season. Both bags appeared clutched solo or double-bagged alongside leather grocery bags with cheeky, playful prints.
Speaking of playful, prints nodding to the childlike theme were present throughout the collection, like a smooth leather Andiamo emblazoned with animals and leather doodles. Other bags focused on Blazy’s craft-obsessed side, featuring detailed leather flowers, intricate weaving, fringe, and more. Overall, the collection left little to be desired, reminding us that fashion is meant to be playful and fun.

I love this collection of bags!! Overall, this is beautiful and exciting!
Hmm, never purchased a BV and I am not motivated to do so by anything pictured here.
Bottega Venetta continues to be my favorite luxury brand. Super excited for these bags to hit the stores!
The leather itself and the detail work takes my breath away. It continues to do so still 18 years after buying my first cabat. BV is so much more than the latest fashion or style , itâs the classic leather work and materials, so I appreciate this aspect even more than this collectionâs designs. I may not personally like them all but like art, I truly appreciate the vision it takes to create each piece , this is so much more than cutting and sewing and stamping out highly produced mass manufactured Louis Vuitton bags. itâs perhaps a more personal acquired taste for those who love the art of leather in handbag making and have moved past bags so many others are carrying. Itâs rare to see someone carrying the andiamo or cabat. This new handle style looks like the YSL Mombasa!
This collection is horrible – what is that silly metal bow clasp – burn it
I need the Bello Mer-Man shopping bag đ
Stunning!! đđđ
This collection takes my breath away. So many beautiful details, shapes, and colors! Itâs been a while since I bought a BV bag. This is drawing me back to the brand. Makes me want to use my cabat today.
BV violin case, anyone?!
Some of these are really striking, but the majority are overdone & cartoonish.
The sandals with the frog!!!! I need a pair right nowđ
