Louise Trotter is among an elite group—she’s one of the few female creative directors in the male-dominated world of luxury fashion. Trotter, who presented her first collection for Bottega Veneta for the Spring 2026 season, continues to make her mark, cementing her vision for the iconic Italian brand.
That vision is tactile and unique, melding heritage with modernity, and for Fall 2026, Trotter continues her evolution of this new era of Bottega Veneta. New campaign images further emphasize Trotter’s ever-evolving narrative.
Shot in Venice by British photographer Chris Rhodes, with creative direction by Louise Trotter, the new campaign offers a pared-back, intimate look at the Fall 2026 collection, which includes a range of new iconic bags in the making.
Trotter’s new bags weave Bottega’s heritage craft with the modern codes that continue to evolve season after season, like the Barbara bag’s modern silhouette, which will remain an important silhouette for the House this season.
Then there’s the Madison shoulder bag, which takes its name from the very first Bottega Veneta store in New York, reimagined this season in classic Intrecciato weave. For Bottega’s take on the ultra-ladylike frame bag, there’s my personal favorite, the 1998 shoulder bag. Lending an incredibly chic, quiet, yet distinctly Bottega appeal, it feels reminiscent of the brand’s earlier days.

I do love the 1998 bag, just hoping the strap is detachable.
