Bottega Veneta is writing its next chapter, and with Louise Trotter at the helm, the brand is shaping an identity that feels both timeless and distinctly modern. Trotter has quickly demonstrated a talent for innovation without straying from the House’s storied codes, introducing fresh handbag silhouettes while offering refined interpretations of some of Bottega Veneta’s most recognizable designs.
This season, the brand’s new era is marked by the debut of its first portrait series, Il Mio, photographed by Drew Vickers under the creative direction of Louise Trotter. Named after the Italian expression meaning “what belongs to me,” the campaign spotlights a selection of Bottega Veneta’s most iconic Intrecciato silhouettes.
The Intimacy of an Iconic Handbag
At its core, the series explores the intimate bond between a bag and its wearer, celebrating the way treasured objects become extensions of personal identity. More than everyday accessories, these pieces are designed to be worn, loved, and ultimately passed down from one generation to the next, carrying memories and craftsmanship with them.
The campaign highlights five of the House’s cornerstone Intrecciato designs: the Mini Andiamo and Lauren 1980, alongside Trotter’s newest signatures, the Madison and Baby Barbara, as well as the newly introduced Baby Campana. Both the Baby Campana and Baby Barbara are set to launch later this summer.
The Five Intrecciato Families at the Heart of Il Mio
Intrecciato remains Bottega Veneta’s defining signifier, beloved for generations thanks to its exceptional craftsmanship and understated, if-you-know-you-know appeal. Introduced in 1975 during the House’s early years, the signature woven leather technique is rooted in artisanal expertise and stands as a lasting expression of the brand’s heritage, enduring through changing eras and creative visions alike.

Hmmm, this is interesting! I have always liked the Andiamo but the size options were not great for me, this mini is good!
