While the summer solstice doesn’t officially arrive until June 21, Memorial Day weekend has long signaled the unofficial start of summer—and with it, the return of summer whites.
Though I’ve happily ignored the old-fashioned “no white before Memorial Day” rule for years, there’s something about the season’s first truly sweltering days that makes head-to-toe white feel especially right. Crisp, clean, and effortlessly chic, a monochromatic white look always feels synonymous with summer dressing at its best.
That same appeal extends to accessories, and this season’s lineup of white bags is particularly strong. From optic bright whites to softer ivory and cream tones, there’s no shortage of standout options. We narrowed it down to six of the best white bags of the season, each offering its own distinct appeal. Take a look.
Loewe Amazona 180
If there’s one bag from this year’s designer debuts that’s seemingly everywhere, it’s the new Loewe Amazona 180 from Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez’s first collection for Loewe. It’s the one bag I’ve vowed to buy this year, and its slouchy, chic silhouette screams cool-girl. Loewe’s leather is just delicious, and this bright white nails the look.
Celine Little Halfmoon Soft Triomphe
Michael Rider’s Celine has been highly praised (and for good reason), and one of his strong suits has been melding Celine’s heritage with a modern Americana vibe. This bag is the kind of summer carryall you’d find everywhere from the coast of Capri to the beaches of Montauk (just add a lobster roll).
Gucci Jackie Slim Shoulder Bag
Just when you thought the always-iconic Gucci Jackie couldn’t get any better, Demna went and made it…cooler? Equal parts chic and edge with its east-west silhouette and soft leather, this is one of those grab-and-go bags you’ll reach for all summer.
Prada Galleria
The Prada Galleria is a true classic every bag lover needs in their rotation, but the relatively new east-west iteration modernizes it a bit. White can be a tough sell for those who don’t want to baby their bags, but Prada’s durable Saffiano leather is a great compromise.
Dior Crunchy Bag
I love a bag that’s a little bit quirky, a little bit cool, and can stand out from the crowd, and the Dior Crunchy is just that.
Bottega Veneta Madison Bag
Bottega Veneta may be loved for its woven Intrecciato leather, but its smooth leather bags actually explore the brand’s DNA before the introduction of Intrecciato leather. Relaxed flap bags are one of the biggest bag trends of the year, and this feels a bit more unexpected than the usual suspects. The gold knotted hardware also dresses it up a bit, offering a nice juxtaposition to the bag’s more slouchy, casual shape.

I really liked the Crunchy bag until I saw that it’s basically a pouch.
Many of these white bags and those I see in the market are more “ivory” in color. It’s hard to find a true white bag.
I agree I have the Gucci marmont crossbody and it’s more a ivory hue as well
