You know what? This clutch may work very well for those of you that have a slight affinity for skulls but do not want too much. Alexander McQueen was known for infusing skull accents into his designs. Sometimes in masses, sometimes as a clasp closures, and now embossed.
The Alexander McQueen Demanta Leather Skull Clutch features skull-embossed black leather.
The body of the clutch is large, 15″W X 7½”H X 2″D. The top folds and snaps at the sides to bring the design together a bit more. I can imagine this working for someone looking to add a bit of edge to their ensemble. This clutch may be black, but it certainly does not lack spunk.
As much as I love Alexander McQueen and I want to love this clutch, it isn’t for me. With the size being so large, it seems like it might be hard to carry. Though, because it does not have a structured shape, it would be easier to hand-hold or throw under your arm and keep it snug next to your body. Buy through Saks for $625.

Anything by Alexander McQueen interests me. Easy to carry clutch with an instantly recognisable skull-emblem.

I have the Treesje Mortale clutch from last year and I like it a lot better than this one but I adore most of McQ’s designs!!

I own the satin Snake DeManta Clutch and is a gorgeous piece. It holds quite a large amount and is easy to carry, whether you prefer to squeeze it or tuck it under your arm. It is well crafted and the zips glide easily enough. I love this black version, will definitely add that to my Fall buying!

What happens over at the McQueen design room now? I know that the great man would have used a team of creative people as he wasn’t the only one bringing ideas to the table, but were these bags on the drawing board? Who runs the look of the fashion house now? Is the McQueen label destined to continually revamp skulls as no one has the insight or daring that Alexander McQueen had?
I have never been able to jump on the skull wagon. I think because they scare me when I look at them.
