We love all of the fashion seasons equally, but the disadvantage of resort and pre-fall presentations is that we rarely get any detail shots of handbags; usually brands release images of full looks, which only provide a small peak at the entire accessories picture. As with most things, though, Chanel is significantly more thorough than other brands, and the brand just released a full set of press images featured the Chanel Metiers d’Art Paris-Salzburg 2015 handbags.
This collection made its runway debut two weeks ago in Austria, and now we have an up-close idea of what the brand’s Salzburg-inspired Pre-Fall 2015 bags will look like. This collection tends to skew less literal than Chanel’s previous few runway shows, with Austrian details here and there that generally don’t overwhelm the bags. Perhaps the most notable addition to the Chanel handbag lineup is a Boy Bag with a top handle in addition to its usual shoulder strap. It feels a bit like gilding the lily – the Boy Bag is pretty great as-is – but Chanel fans are always hungry for a new variation on an old favorite.
In general, there are lots of those in this collection. Check out the full lineup below; these bags are likely to become available in mid-summer 2015.
