I’ve been blogging for well over ten years now. I’ve watched the rise and the fall of some of the earliest bloggers. I’ve watched the entire landscape shift and change. I could go on about it all (and maybe someday I will, there is so much that we’ve witnessed) but I have always said the OG bloggers who have stuck around are in a special little group. Most of us know one another as we’ve been part of this ever changing world. When we started our site there was a handful other sites that started around the same time and one of those is BagSnob.
Tina Craig, founder of BagSnob, and I have been friends for a long time. The funny thing is before I ever knew her there was this feeling of competition being the two best known bag sites, but when we met in person, we were fast friends. She loves bags and knows bags and we’ve chatted about everything from bags to babies to beauty. Tina has partnered on a few different collaborations and her own line and her most recent partnership is with Nancy Gonzalez.
A longtime friend and fan of the brand, this is a great partnership. The exterior of the tote is a beige coated linen which makes it far more resilient than untreated linen. It offers a bit of a sheen to the appearance but it’s not glossy. The large blue and green crocodile stripe down the center of the bag brings that classic Nancy Gonzalez look which extends to the top handles (they offer a 10″ drop so plenty of room to carry comfortably over your arm). The finishing touch on the exterior is a removable blue crocodile palm tree charm. Everything about the exterior of this bag screams take me on vacation and do it now!
The inside of the bag is simple but there is a removable pouch (this is where I’d keep my card case with my cash and credit cards along with my car keys). The interior is coated linen just like the outside which will make it easy to wipe up and keep clean. One of the best aspects of this bag is how light it is! It feels like you’re carrying air compared to most bags I own and that is such a dream for my sore shoulders and tired arms. Though many assume totes have to be incredibly large, this bag is 17.5″W x 11.5″H x 6″D which I would call just right when it comes to totes.
Overall, this bag could easily become your everyday summer bag. Vlad just laughed at me when I said I can imagine myself carrying it to the pool at a hotel in Miami (because when is that going to happen for us, I’m not sure), but I will work toward that as a goal.
