Louis Vuitton’s classic Alma bag is one of the brand’s (and the handbag world’s) most iconic silhouettes. Rooted in House history, its shape can be traced back to the end of the 19th century, though the Alma as we know it today debuted in 1992. Its shape still bears homage to hints of its Art Deco roots, standing out for its unique combination of elegance and character.
Though the Alma originally made its debut in classic Monogram canvas, it has been reinterpreted time and time again, in every rainbow shade of Épi leather, Monogram Vernis and more. It’s even seen a slew of limited edition iterations including the cult favorite graffiti of Stephen Sprouse and one of the 2000s most iconic It-Bags seen on Paris Hilton, Kim K and more as you’ll see below. Today we’re throwing it back to an icon of both then and now, with a look back at the many celebs who love(d) the Alma!
