Saint Laurent’s Fall Pre-Orders Just Hit and We Are Obsessed

Summer isn't even in full swing yet, but these bags have us excited for fall!

Saint Laurent Fall 2025

Saint Laurent has one of the most recognizable logos in fashion history. Its bold, distinct YSL has remained a mainstay even after the brand dropped its Yves to become just Saint Laurent.

Under creative director Anthony Vaccarello’s watchful eye, Saint Laurent releases handbag hit after handbag hit, with some of the 2020s most-wanted bags coming out of the House of Saint Laurent.

Vaccarello continues to focus on the brand’s modern aesthetic while playing with staple silhouettes and core house codes. His vision is distinct and recognizable, and something must be said about that consistency in the current luxury fashion climate, which has left us all feeling somewhat whiplashed.

Saint Laurent’s Chic New Look

Vaccarello has continued to play on Saint Laurent’s bold Cassandre logo in new and exciting ways, yet season after season, he also delights us with sleek new shapes, further honing in on his vision for the house.

For fall 2024, he revisited one of Saint Laurent’s most iconic bags, the Sac de Jour, paring it back and giving it a relaxed makeover. The undeniably timeless shape is a true representation of the distinct Saint Laurent elegance that remains at the forefront of the brand, no matter who is at the helm.

That same vision is explored again for the upcoming season, with Vaccarello returning to the modern yet timeless allure deeply rooted in Saint Laurent’s DNA. His newest campaign offers us a first look at what’s to come this fall.

Fresh for Fall

Saint Laurent remains one of the rare luxury Houses that doesn’t show bags on the runway. That said, its accessory collections remain more commercial and wearable, and fall 2025 includes the usual suspects we all know and love, like the Bea, Lolou, and more.

If you’re looking for newness, a few sleek new silhouettes will delight Saint Laurent lovers. The Sac de Jour Bauletto bag, in two sizes—classic and small—joins the Sac de Jour family. The Bauletto bag offers a clean, bowling bag-like shape with a zip-around construction. Though it joins the SDJ family, the one strong similarity is the lock and clochette.

Meanwhile, Saint Laurent continues to expand upon its Y Family, offering new iterations of the fan-favorite Y Tote alongside a sleek new top-handle bucket bag. Discover the full range via Saint Laurent and pre-order your favorites now.

This is why luxury designer is boring these days. These are nice looking bags, but everyone jumps on the same trends. Everyone is doing big bags, everyone is doing bowler bags, everyone is doing suede. The differences between brands is minimal. It feels like no one is doing anything innovative. It could be a sign of economic difficulties and how consumers are making more conservative choices, but it’s still kind of boring.

I do like the Sac du Jour Bauletto but wish it had a shoulder strap (and not a thin, flimsy one) or handles a bit longer — so that you could still sling this bag easily and comfortably over your shoulder while wearing a sweater and puffy winter coat.

P.S. It’s spelled Bauletto, not BaulettEo (check the captions below the Bauletto photos)

At least we don’t have to suffer through the tacky gold YSL hardware plastered on every bag.

That has really put me off of their bags in recent years, but I like the Y small bucket. It suits my everyday style and isn’t outrageously expensive. I may check it out in person.
