One of my favorite aspects of the handbag world is the updates and unique treatments otherwise straightforward bag designs receive. If you want a classic color and style, it is there, but seeing unexpected renditions fills my soul as a bag lover (and collector). I want different.
The Prada Cleo hit the scene a few years ago, and since its inception, the bag has remained a steadfast cornerstone for the brand. While larger bags are also part of the Prada DNA, the Cleo brings a sleek, slim shoulder bag option to the forefront. Kaitlin has professed her love for the bag time and time again, and I have been partial to the studded versions myself.
That is until I saw this floral Prada Brushed Leather Cleo. Let’s take a minute to admire her beauty—she is stunning.
Porcelain Effect
My mom has a cabinet with family heirlooms, including our baby shoes. My mom had them dipped in porcelain and then handpainted (is this not a thing anymore? I just panicked because I didn’t do it for my kids, and I feel like I missed a very memorable moment). I have always admired those shoes as I passed them by, and when I saw this version of the Cleo, it made me think of my baby shoes in a way that made me love this bag even more.

The embossed porcelain-effect floral print plays back to the elegance of the past (again, my baby shoes!) and further enhances the sleek silhouette. The florals include hues of pink, blue, yellow, and green. While the white option of this bag is my favorite, there is a black one as well, and now I find myself drawn to it in a different but equally enchanting way.

The rest of the bag remains the same as the Cleo we’ve come to know, with a leather handle, metal hardware, the iconic enameled metal triangle Prada logo, and a magnetic closure. The inside of the bag has a logo-print nylon lining and a patch pocket. You can fit your phone in the bag—a major plus with slim-profile bags like the Cleo.
The bag is beautiful both in black and in white. But $4000 for this bag strikes me as pretty pricey.
Personally, I think the bag is lovely, but the little bit of OCD in me feels it’s slightly heavy on the right side (I paint porcelain as a hobby).
Reminds me of the Prada fairy bag
from years ago.
So pretty
It’s not my vibe but it’s interesting. I could see some women making this work.
This bag is absolutely heavenly! Love the pics too
I keep coming back to this bag now, it’s a stunner!
