Miu Miu has been championing women in film for over 15 years through its Miu Miu Women’s Tales series, making it the longest-running commissioning platform of female-led short films. Each installment is directed by a leading female filmmaker and is united by the common theme of womanhood.
Last night, Miu Miu premiered its Miu Miu Women’s Tales volume 31 in New York at the Village East theater by Angelika. The film, which is titled “Discipline,” was directed by Mona Fastvold and further explores the idea of womanhood and how clothes are more than just things to wear, but are deeply intertwined in self-expression and identity.
Last night’s premiere brought together guests for a special evening of cultural conversation followed by a celebratory dinner and drinks at New York’s exclusive Chez Margaux. Of course, where there is a Miu Miu event, there will be some really great bags, and we saw some of our favorite stars dressed to impress in Miu Miu.
