Few brands draw as dedicated a crowd during Paris Fashion Week as Miu Miu, and this season was no different. Even as the skies opened upon the last day of Paris Fashion Week, showering guests dressed in their Miu Miu best, the crowd was all smiles.
It was a poetic metaphor for the collection, which this season is titled Mindful Intimacy. Silhouettes are pared back and stripped down to emphasize simplicity and purity—a celebration of the poeticism of our bodies.
Garments are cut close to the body, emphasizing sensuality and sexuality—and how they are expressed through the clothes we wear. Light cotton frocks give way to soft cashmeres while sheer mesh pieces are layered over silks, nodding back to the theme of intimacy throughout.
The Miu Miu Uniform, Stripped Back
Elsewhere, delicate bows adorn mini dresses or peek out from foundational pieces layered under outerwear or matching separates like a leather pant and jacket set, a signature look of Miu Miu cool. The Miu Miu uniform, redefined.
While the ready-to-wear is pared back and stripped bare, bags are given tactile touches, such as studded detailing and fur finishes. The Arcadie Bag is trimmed with gold rivets, while a new saddle bag shape that gives off a distinctly boho, ’70s appeal can be seen in smooth leather and novelty iterations with studs and faux fur alike.
Elsewhere, the relaxed new Vivant Bag, which was seen on the runway (and outside of the show too), is quickly proving to be a new Miu Miu must have. View more from the runway below.
