It’s 2019, which means that things today are a lot different than they were 10 years ago, or even five years ago! Fashion has become much more inclusive than it ever was before, and I have a feeling that as time goes on it’s only going to continue to become more accepting and fluid. I think that this focus on individuality over gender roles is a great thing, but that is a topic for a whole other debate. What prompted this not-so-outrageous revelation was the runway images from Fendi‘s Mens SS 2020 show. Male models carried handbag after handbag, and it’s rare that the bags steal the show when it’s a mens collection being shown, but this season that just may be the case.
As you would expect for Spring/Summer, the palette for this collection featured mostly earthy tones and textures. Models carried big totes with intricate leather details and there were Baguettes galore. Many versions of the iconic Fendi baguette appeared, including exotics and raffia iterations. Fendi’s ever popular Peekaboo walked the runway as well in a wide array of options from the iconic original to the newer Peekaboo X-Lite. View all of the bags from the runway below.

one of the most beautiful collections i have seen in a while. good mix of quirky, elegant, masculine, and feminine.
More like most of these bags are marketed towards women but given traditional masculine colors. Most are baguettes and peek-a-boos with sone totes thrown in for good measure. This more like the boys took a cue from the girls.
Anyway, bag 21 is my favorite.
Nice that Fendi has designer ankle monitor covers (#10). For the “celebrity” that is Court ordered confined to their home.
Wow, this is an amazing gorgeous collection. I counted every bag I loved and I am shocked at how many I would buy for myself; 28, 30, 31, 35, 38, 43, 33, 45, 47 = 9 bags to buy. That is a ton of bags especially considering it’s a mens collection.
These seem to be marketed towards men and women since they have a unisex vibe.
