Your First Look at Virgil Abloh’s Latest Bags for Louis Vuitton

Straight from the Men's Fall/Winter 2020 Show

It’s been nearly two years since Virgil Abloh was appointed creative director for Louis Vuitton Menswear. Abloh’s direction breathed new life into the brand’s men’s collections, shining a bright light on them and attracting attention from both men and women.

Abloh’s creative vision has always been rooted in streetwear, and at a time in fashion when street style ready collections reign supreme, Abloh’s designs have been incredibly well-received.

For Fall-Winter 2020 Abloh took a look at the ever-evolving men’s suit and aimed to challenge traditional dress codes. At the same time, Abloh redefined what the term ‘streetwear’ actually means, characterizing it as ‘ the clothes we actually wear and the way we wear them.’

In terms of bags, and there were many, monogram was at play in this collection, though Abloh chose to challenge the traditional monogram canvas. Updated versions of classic LV monogram appeared in fun ways, such as a constrasing baby blue Keepall as well as giant shearling monogram bags. Additionally, this collection challenged traditional men’s bags, with bright colors like blue and pink appearing alongside more muted neutrals. View all of the bags below.
