Bright colors and fun prints refresh Louis Vuitton signatures for the season

May has arrived, and right on cue, Louis Vuitton is here to delight its die-hard fans with a little something special for the warm weather months. If you’re new here, Louis Vuitton’s seasonal summer collections are among the Maison’s boldest and most fun designs, and this year is no exception.

Louis Vuitton’s summer capsule collections have become a tradition in the last decade, with their release signaling that summer is finally on its way. Though Louis Vuitton releases a proper cruise collection for the true resort season, which launches in the fall, its summer collections are typically more commercial and less formal.

Where Tradition Meets Whimsy

Not only does this tradition allow Louis Vuitton to have a bit more fun, dressing its signature silhouettes with bright colors and bold prints, but it also bridges the gap between spring and fall, outfitting fans of the Maison for summer adventures and warm-weather travel.

Earlier this season, we were blessed with Louis Vuitton Flight Mode, geared towards the jet-setter in all of us, but if you thought Louis Vuitton was going to leave us hanging, think again, because its Resort 2026 collection is about to hit, and we’ve got a first look at the collection, which is available for pre-order now ahead of the global launch.

The LV Resort Collection encapsulates the ease of summer, emphasizing a lightness in both spirit and silhouette. Monogram is reimagined, and while seasons past saw maxi iterations of iconic LV Monogram, this year it’s given a mini makeover across a wide range of iconic bags.

Minigram and Beyond

Staple silhouettes like the Neverfull MM, Keepall, and Nano Speedy appear in canvas with contrasting Monogram, overlaid with an LV Circle logo, and finished with a signature padlock. Elsewhere, smooth leather Mini Monogram versions—dubbed Minigram—of favorites like the Alma BB and more delight in baby pink and classic cognac.

The star of the show, IMHO, comes from the rainbow of Epi leather options that drop with this collection. Bold hues of on-trend cobalt, orange, and hot pink outfit bags like the Speedy Soft and Alma BB. For more traditional summer bags, the Capucines returns in wicker with leather trim, juxtaposing playful novelty bags like a volleyball-inspired shoulder bag and a Monogram Miroir canvas soda can.

This actually looks like the best thing Louis Vuitton has done in a while where the models are pretty and the bags are decent

Finally!! LV is back!! Let’s hope the quality has come back as well. Otherwise, it’s another hard pass for me.

So monogram wasn’t enough, they put a giant circular logo on top. My eyes hurt.

They tend to use the round Louis Vuitton “stamp” for their summer capsules every so often.
