Loewe’s Latest Raffia Bag Gives Back

Cute, but with a purpose

When it comes to seasonal bags, no one does them better now than Loewe. We’ve mused, mulled over, and mused somemore, but the fact of the matter is, they’re really that good. For a very fair price, you can snag a raffia designer bag that’s perfect for the summer months. Now, you can snag a new limited-edition and undeniably adorable new iteration with a bonus; it gives back.

What is LOEWE x Knot On My Planet?

For the fourth year, Loewe has collaborated with an organization called Knot On My Planet to directly support the Elephant Crisis Fund. This partnership helps to protect the wildlife population, with 100% of its sales proceeds going directly to the fund.

This year, Loewe showcases its impeccable craft with a raffia Elephant bag complete with an Anagram motif, which is integral to the House. Finished with colorful, big, beaded eyes crafted by female artisans, the bag not only helps to give back but also stands out from the crowd.

Meaningful Beadwork

Loewe’s ongoing commitment to craftsmanship reigns with this collaboration, and this time, the House’s focus is on safeguarding ancient craft. The Elephant basket bag celebrates a beading technique that dates back centuries. This craftwork has been passed down from generation to generation of the Samburu people.

Traditionally, the beading technique creates bold and vibrantly patterned collars, headdresses, and jewelry. The Samburu culture is known for this work and is further celebrated with this year’s LOEWE x Knot On My Planet partnership.

The limited-edition bag is available from yesterday, at Loewe boutiques and on loewe.com. Additionally, LOEWE x Knot On My Planet will present a special display in Bergdorf Goodman’s store window in New York. Discover more now via Loewe.
