For whatever reason, I’ve been feeling a little bit of fashion fatigue for the past couple seasons, but thankfully, it seems as though the malaise is lifting; everywhere I look, Fall 2016 deliveries are full of stuff I want to have in my closet immediately. Because we’re nearing critical mass when it comes to in-stock online fashion, it seemed like the right time to gather a together a fantasy wardrobe haul for the season.
Below, check out the things (or, at the very least, the types of things) I’m looking forward to wearing and carrying in the next few months. Let us know what you want for fall in the comments!
Acne Studios Azura Blanket Wool Bomber Jacket
$1,600 via Net-a-Porter
It’s an exceptionally good season for jackets. This could easily be a list of 15 jackets.
Acne Studios Leather Biker Jacket
$1,600 via Net-a-Porter
Honestly, it could be a list of 15 Acne Studios jackets. I’ve wanted one of the brand’s leather jackets forever and should probably just put myself out of my misery and buy one.
Alexander Wang Attica Chain Satchel
$850 via Neiman Marcus
I’ve been excited about this bag since I saw it in a lookbook six months ago, and I’m still excited about it. The design is grown up but still very much Wang.
Carine Gilson Floral Silk-Satin Kimono
$2,045 via Net-a-Porter
There is no reason on Earth for me ever to own this gorgeous robe, but it’s so pretty that I couldn’t not include it.
Chanel Velvet Classic Flap Bag
$3,700 via Chanel
Velvet bags are a huge fall trend, and this iconic design looks particularly rich in the fabric, don’t you think? Plus, it helps a little bit with the price.
Chloé Silk Mousseline Blouse
$1,795 via Net-a-Porter
Black, sheer and unstructured: a phrase that describes almost all of my favorite articles of clothing.
Gucci Bamboo Daily Bag
$1,890 via Net-a-Porter
This pick is a little bit of a stretch for me, aesthetically, but the print is so pretty and I just saw someone carrying the same bag in all black and thought it looked great, style-wise. Plus, it’s good to stretch a little bit, right?
Harris Wharf London Draped Wool Coat
$525 via Net-a-Porter
The one I actually want is black, but the coat’s simple, fluid details didn’t show up in the photo because of the dark color. The tan option is also gorgeous, if that’s more your personal speed.
Loeffler Randall Embroidered Lock Clutch
$495 via Nordstrom
I have surprisingly boho leanings for someone who wears so much black, and embroidery is a huge fall trend. This bag hits all of those sweet spots and will be a strong party companion well into the new year.
Louis Vuitton Keepall Bandouliere 50 Bag
$5,300 via Louis Vuitton
Fall and winter tend to be my busiest travel seasons of the year, and this seems like the most luxurious way to schlep my stuff back and forth to Atlanta several times.
Mansur Gavriel Classic Suede Loafer
$495 via Bergdorf Goodman
Simple, traditional loafers are making a huge comeback, which is great because they’re the perfect casual fall shoe.
Prada Leather Platform Sandals
$875 via Net-a-Porter
Another shoe making a comeback: chunky, 90s-reminiscent sandals, best worn with tights and something short.
Rendor and Steel Leather Corset Choker Necklace
$77 via Shopbop
I don’t have a long neck and I don’t like clothing that touches my neck, but I am nonetheless determined to try this trend.
Sam Edelman Taye Brocade Ankle Boots
$160 via Net-a-Porter
These look extremely expensive but aren’t that bad at all, which makes them a perfect piece to capture a seasonal trend.
Vetements Hoodie
$960 via Net-a-Porter
Okay, so, I know this is nuts. There is no universe in which I am going to buy this thousand dollar hoodie, or even think about it. But, I love hoodies as fashion pieces and I hope they’re part of stylish fall wardrobes for a long time to come. And even if they aren’t, they’ll be a part of mine.
