The high fashion world is no stranger to cool collabs, and last year, in a move that felt unexpected but worked so well, luxury Italian House Gucci teamed up with the outdoor experts at The North Face. The collection included RTW and accessories for both men and women, and it was equal parts chic, stylish and functional, all tied up in a pretty package. That package included special branded details from both brands. A seemingly unlikely duo, the partnership fused both brands’ commitments to innovation and sustainability with a touch of inspiration from adventure seekers. The first installment of the collection launched with such a fanfare that pieces sold out incredibly fast, and now we’ve got a look at Chapter 2, which just hit Gucci.com.
Chapter 2 picks up where the first chapter left off, staying true to the collection’s core values of the spirit of exploration in all its forms. The collection once again celebrates self-discovery and self-expression, two values that define both brands.
The second collection is shown in beautiful campaign imagery set in Iceland. It features a variety of stunning landscapes, from volcanic black sand to picturesque green hills and jaw-dropping glaciers. These scenes make the perfect backdrop to showcase this special cross-category collection for men and women that is comprised of ready-to-wear, accessories, luggage, and shoes. Gucci’s classic GG monogram appears throughout, on shoes and reimagined styles from The North Face’s iconic ‘90s silhouettes. Additionally, the collection showcases an exclusively designed selection of outerwear that reimagines iconic styles from the ‘70s with new technology.
The North Face x Gucci collection continues its commitment to support sustainable business practices with the use of ECONYL®, which is a nylon fabric created from regenerated materials. The collection will be available at select stores and Gucci Pop-Ups. Special installation and store pop-ups will open in the New Year at New York’s Fifth Avenue, Aspen, and Chicago in the US. A selection will also be available at The North Face stores in New York, Beijing, Shanghai, and Tokyo. Check out more from the campaign below.
I like so much of this! The green puffer or puffer vest!
I like the boots.
Clearly, even socks with sandals are stylish if it’s Gucci/TheNorthFace!
I may be a minority here but where does one wear these clothes?
People will buy anything as long as it’s covered in logos…
