When Gucci presented its Spring 2025 collection, it was abundantly clear that this was an ode to the archives. Of course, there were nods to Gucci’s storied DNA, including modern takes on archival details. One of the collection’s defining details was the Gucci Horsebit.
The Gucci Horsebit has been a symbol of the Italian brand for over 70 years, but this season, it is all about the half-Horsebit motif, which breathes new life into a brand signifier Gucci lovers are already head over heels for.
Though Gucci is currently in a transitional phase, the element evocative of Gucci’s history was also present on the Fall 2025 runway. Fall 2025 represented the start of Gucci’s next chapter, but it expanded upon the House’s pre-fall 2025 collection, too, which included the Gucci Softbit. Defined by its oversized half-Horsebit hardware, it is already proving to be a fan favorite.
