Gucci under Demna’s creative direction is already proving to be a hit among handbag lovers, and now, a few seasons into his appointment, his vision for Gucci has quickly cemented itself. Undeniably sexy and chic, with a hint of cool, what continues to entice is how Demna’s vision seamlessly walks the delicate line between feeling brand-new and quietly vintage.
Generation Gucci further explores this aesthetic narrative, delving into the brand’s archives to meld different eras of Gucci into a new one—and we can’t get enough.
Gucci Blends Heritage With a Fresh Perspective
Arriving as part of the Gucci Generation collection, the House introduces the new Paparazzo bag, which highlights two of the most important House codes—the Horsebit and Gucci Web—in a way that feels entirely new and fresh.
As bag trends shifted over the years, I transitioned from carrying a tote or larger bag to smaller or mid-sized options, and I carried my laptop in a canvas tote when needed. Still, as my lifestyle has shifted, I noticed a need in my handbag rotation for the first time—a bag that could go from meetings to happy hour or dinner and still look chic.
Enter the Gucci Paparazzo.
A slouchy, cool-girl, can-carry-it-all bag has been on my radar for the last few seasons, so when I saw the Paparazzo, I was immediately intrigued. Our friends at Gucci generously offered to send me the Paparazzo of my choice.
Meet the New Gucci Paparazzo
In person, it completely exceeded my expectations.
There’s no denying that it is a beautiful bag, but up close, it’s even better. The leather feels so luxe—it’s soft and supple, but sturdy enough to withstand everything that can fit in this bag (hint: it’s a lot).
It feels like a really nice bag, and while craftsmanship and quality are important to most of us, the bag I was looking for to fill this specific hole in my wardrobe needed to look really good—and look good it does.
Plus, it’s easy to grab and go, effortlessly worn in the crook of the arm, over the shoulder, or by the top handle (there’s also the inclusion of a longer strap).
Disclosure: The Gucci Paparazzo and GG Slides were gifted to our editor by Gucci.
Perfect Pairs
As my job has shifted and the industry has exited the COVID era, my calendar is fuller than ever with in-person meetings, showroom appointments, and events. On days when I’m running from work to dinner or drinks with friends, I need my bag to haul it all and look good while doing so.

I paired the Gucci Paparazzo bag with straight-leg jeans, a simple white tee, and a vintage black leather jacket. Finishing off the look are my new Gucci Double G slides. As someone who cannot wear anything taller than a couple of inches, the chunky heel is perfect for running around and adds a more elevated feel to the simplicity of my outfit.
This look is exactly how you’d find me running around the city—it’s professional enough for meetings, but stylish enough for an after-work drink—or two.
The Gucci Paparazzo: What Fits
Where the Paparazzo bag really shines is its size. The large size’s overall dimensions are 14.6″W x 11.4″H x 5.1″D, and it features two interior pockets—a zippered pocket and a large open pocket.
Most importantly, the bag fits my 13-inch MacBook, along with whatever novel I’m currently reading, my journal, a card case, sunglasses, and a toiletry pouch I typically use for travel. I would also typically have a small water bottle and snacks, which would fit, too!

I like this! It’s a great balance between structure and slouch without looking overly rigid or sloppy. It’s versatile and has a classic, but edgy look. I may need to go check this out in store.
You do look good in this outfit! And this bag comes alive in the urban setting, also great for your age-group. Enjoy!
Saw this bag in store and was really really tempted by the suede sandy beige iteration. It was so lovely and reminded me so much of my beloved Balenciaga Rodeo. Had the paparazzo been lined with leather, I would have swiped my card. As it is I went for the small Borsetto which is lined with leather.
However, the bag is still on my mind in that suede sandy beige, and I may still go back for it.
I bought the beige at first sight, it’s high maintenance but so beautiful. I’m now eyeing up the black. A great bag for work and travel, perfect size.
I agree that the size is really perfect. I love that it fits my laptop!
Well, I went back this morning and bought the suede medium. LOL
No regrets. I looove the Borsetto and love the suede Paparazzo (it is very beautiful, and I do love and own a lot of suede bags). Both have earned a place in my closet.
She’s a beauty congrats 😊
I like the Borsetto, great choice IMO.
Looks a lot like the new chanel bag everyone wants.
Tried this on in store and although it’s a lovely bag, I was on the fence with the way the bag leans forward when top carrying because the handle is attached toward the back. Plus, I got offered a LV P9 Speedy in coffee bean and could NOT pass that up.
Very cute simple outfit with the bag. I love the slouch of it. Saw it in person at Gucci and it feels good to carry too. Great choice!
Yesss the slouch just gives it that effortlessly cool vibe!
Its gorgeous but humongous, when they make one 1/2 that size I’m in!
I don’t see the appeal. It looks very dated, old and used.
It’s giving balenciaga rodeo that he created previously. It’s good though but repetitive
