Act Fast if You Want to Own a Piece of #GUCCIHALLUCINATION

The numbered, limited-edition online exclusive collection just hit Gucci.com

Since moving to the ‘burbs and spending my afternoons walking to the park to push Millie on the swing, my amount of fashion talk has dwindled, compared to living in the hub of it all in NYC. But when other people learn about what we do, I am almost always asked what brand is hot right now, and many people want to talk to me about Gucci. Whether you live in a huge, fashion-centric city or in a small town, if you are following what’s happening in fashion, you know Gucci is on top of the game.

Gucci, under Alessandro Michele, has partnered with artists on a series of limited-edition collections, and the latest just dropped on Gucci.com. Introducing #GUCCIHALLUCINATION, a collection of shirts and sweatshirts with artworks by Ignasi Monreal.

There are nine shirts and nine sweatshirts offered in the collab, with different colors and illustrations on each. Honestly, if I could, I would buy one of each. I find some fashion collaborations to be overly fashion-y (that’s not necessarily a word, but you feel me), where it would feel like I might be trying too hard by wearing something from the line because it just wouldn’t match with my casual personal style. But these pieces are the right combination of of-the-moment fashion with an instant classic vibe to them that both feels vintage and current. Each item comes in special packaging that depicts the illustration that matches the shirt inside.

It’s hard for me to pick favorites, but I really love this green shirt with three women dressed in looks from the Spring 2018 collection, I adore this pink sweatshirt with a tiger-sphinx wearing sparkling crystal-studded shades, and I’d opt for an oversized version of this white sweatshirt that has a vintage feel. The downside? The price is not what I’d like it to be, which could pretty much be said of everything I want). The shirts are $790 and sweatshirts are $1,400. The price won’t keep these items from selling out quickly, though, so if you want to add one to your wardrobe, I’d do it now.
