As a mom of a 5 and 7-year-old, I feel like a few things about Mother’s Day remain true and can seem conflicting and confusing. First, I want a break while also being given loving attention. Secondly, a handmade gift from the kids is the best, but I also won’t turn down a luxury good.
It’s me, hi, I’m the problem, it’s me.
With that being said, there’s still time to gently remind those in your life of the day coming up to celebrate mom’s and as a self-proclaimed Gucci girl, here are the items from Gucci I’d love for Mother’s Day.
This style of sandals is still super popular and I personally love it. It feels both casual and more dressy than a super simple sandal, offers more support, and looks great for pretty much every outfit in this iteration.
I will continue singing praises to summer-themed materials, and this one falls in my favorites. If you remember, last year I got this Raffia Gucci Marmont and it was one of my most used bags of summer. This iteration with the multicolor chevron raffia print makes me feel happy and it’s a bag I already love, so I know I’d use it a ton!
As far as totes go as a lightweight carryall, it’s not always the easiest to find. I haven’t tried this bag out, but it seems like it would be a really easy everyday bag. Plus, the color is the epitome of summer blue hues.
While sunglasses really need to be tried on to find the right fit, I forget to buy myself sunnies and getting them as a gift is always appreciated. For a gift, I’d love a frame with a different colorway, and this shape typically fits me pretty well!
How fun is this bag?! Like I said, summer-themed bags are right up my alley, and this one is so playful and cute I think I need it. I don’t know how to be more direct, Vlad will for sure read this upon publishing, so there ya go; this bag is top of my list but I’d be delighted with anything here.
And a day full of sleep. And maybe a hotel room for a night of sleep. And room service. And a day at the spa. And the kids making me some artwork. I’d also take personalized jewelry. Ok, that’s all, sounds reasonable enough to me.
Megs, I can’t believe your kids are already 5 & 7! Hope you have a happy and relaxing Mothers Day….and maybe a Gucci or 2-lol! 🙂
I know!! I can’t believe it either. Where does the time go!!!!
I would rather spend the money on a great experience that we would both enjoy together and remember for a long time. It makes for a much more meaningful gift than “things.”

Of course! We are big trip and experience people as well. Typically, for Father’s Day, the kids pick a hotel nearby for a one-night staycation and are so excited to surprise Vlad with it! But, I like a bit of everything and wouldn’t turn down a luxury gift!
