As a mom of two, ages 8 and 6, I appreciate Mother’s Day and debate what I’d like to ask for. Hands down, every time, I will sing from the rooftops that a gift my kids made with their own hands and hearts brings me the most joy.
I’ve also received gifts from my kids when they picked them themselves, and it gave them so much pride to give them to me that I can never let them go (including a pair of earrings from Claire’s that my son picked out that would for sure send my ears into some sort of reaction).
This year, my genuine desire for Mother’s Day aligns with years past: a meaningful gift from the kids and a bit of pampering. However, I would be remiss to leave out some big and small items (in price and size) that I’d be happy to receive.
This is my ultimate Mother’s Day gift wishlist, and no, it is not meant to be practical; it is intended to be over-the-top and absurd. It also serves as a reminder, as each item will still be there for my next gift time, so take note, Vlad.

The more I’ve seen the Tiffany Hardwear collection, the more I’ve fallen in love with it. It’s bold yet feminine and while there is an option that is more reasonable, I’d like to show Vlad this version of the Hardwear necklace which is the ultimate.

I can also be practical, and the Prada Galleria has always been on my wishlist. Oddly enough, I don’t own one, but this new hue, Bruyere Pink, is really special.

The Bvlgari site lists the all-over diamond version of this bracelet as a must-have, and tbh, whoever decided that needs to be my friend. This is a must-have in my book too. My friend has this version and wears it daily, and the more I see it, the more I, too, have deemed it a must-have.

I said I had practical options on this list, and by this point, I am questioning the very definition of ‘practical’. However, I’ve always wanted one of Louis Vuitton’s Vivienne dolls as a decor piece, and this one is very me!

LOLZ. I am over here thinking this mirror is incredibly cool and well-priced.

Back to bags – how fun is this Valentino bag! I love the playful cherries touch, and with a larger collection of bags that I personally own, a whimsical piece like this is so fun!

As practical as a pair of $1,050 sandals can be, these are actually the most pragmatic item on my list. I wear my Chypre sandals nonstop, and call me basic, but I love them and would be delighted to be gifted another pair—this time in suede—so chic.

I always say a personalized gift adds the ultimate touch, and getting a Cartier Tank Watch with something sweet engraved is the ultimate gift. I’m just sayin’.

Another aspect I love about gift giving is asking for something I won’t usually buy for myself. While I can easily justify a handbag purchase and have been doing so for the past two decades, for some reason I don’t do the same when it comes to a nicer piece of clothing. However, if I am gifted the item, I will happily accept. I’ve loved this Gucci polo since I first spotted it and now I feel like it would make such a great addition to my closet.

Another item I will not buy for myself: nice sunglasses. I will gladly buy more affordable brands on Amazon, but I prefer them as a gift when it comes to designer shades. It’s not where I splurge on myself. I like the smaller frame trend and these from Chanel look like they’d be flattering for most!

This is an exquisite and fashionable blouse I’d never buy for myself, but would love to have. It would be an instant staple and transform so many outfits. I’d wear it so much everyone would start to talk about how I needed to get a new shirt, but whatever, let them talk!
While these are nice and, of course overly extravagant, I can’t wrap my head around the $4,775 Chanel eyeglasses!
It was a typo of the $ and became a 4 instead of $!! Only $775… a bargain!!!
Thank you! A much better bargain!
That can’t be correct on the Chanel sunglasses!
Just looked at the Chanel site, they are $775.00.
