A few years ago, I started thinking it was time for Chloé to enter a true renaissance. I longed for a return to the house’s earlier identity—the era of the quintessential #ChloéGirl. A Chloé defined by soft femininity, bohemian ease, and a quiet sense of romance. That wish was soon answered when Chemena Kamali made her runway debut at Paris Fashion Week Fall 2024.
Almost instantly, it was clear: boho was back.

Kamali’s debut marked a decisive return to the house’s core DNA—innately feminine, effortlessly Parisian, and deeply rooted in Chloé’s heritage. The fashion world responded with immediate enthusiasm. Now, two years into her tenure, she has firmly re-established that bohemian spirit at the heart of the brand.
Alongside it has come a revival of some of Chloé’s most iconic handbag silhouettes—pieces that feel lived-in, effortless, and eternally desirable. The kind of It-bags that signal a return to Chloé’s core DNA—and we are obsessed!
Topping the list is the iconic Chloé Paddington bag. First created by Phoebe Philo during her time at the house from 2001 to 2006, debuted on the Spring 2005 runway. Few could have predicted the influence it would go on to have—helping define the It-bag era.
The Paddington is Here to Stay
When it returned to the runway for Fall 2025, nearly two decades later, it sparked a wave of nostalgia among fashion lovers. From those who owned it in their youth, to those rediscovering it through the revival, to Gen-Z collectors newly embracing aughties style.
The updated version remains faithful to its original character—complete with its relaxed slouch and signature padlock—while feeling subtly refreshed for today. The Paddington’s hype shows no signs of slowing down, and with Chemena Kamali returning to the Paddington once again this season, I’m returning to it this season as well.
The Fall 2026 runway teased the release of a maxi iteration of the Paddington—the ultimate bag for the boho girl who is always on the go. Just when you thought Paddington couldn’t get any cooler—it did.
