One of the standouts of our NFL coverage week after week has been Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley. So much so that he earned his very own Many Bags Of feature earlier this season. If you’re new here, it wasn’t just any MBO either; it was a post dedicated entirely to Barkley’s Birkins—technically, the Hermès HAC, or Haut à Courroies Bag, but Barkley’s Birkins has a better ring to it.
While Barkley is a standout on the field, so I’m told—I stopped expanding my football knowledge as my father’s superstitious Sundays watching the New York Jets still make me shudder—his fashion stands out even more. While I don’t have the authority to comment on what happens on the field, what happens off the field is enough to make my family sit in the same position for 3 hours if it means a (fashion) win.
While Barkley is a huge Hermès stan, he was recently spotted not once, but twice on game days last month with one of my personal favorites in hand: the Ferragamo Hug.
The Ferragamo Hug Joins Barkley’s Game Day Rotation
First introduced for Fall 2023, the Hug is defined by its curved shape and folded side panels, which mimic a hug. The men’s iteration is a bit more streamlined, but equally as It.
Barkley, who works with stylist Joshua McPhearson, carried the tote iteration of the Hug in black calfskin, and the shoulder bag version in brown calfskin. Both bags were styled to perfection, and these might be some of my favorite game day looks of his so far.
As we head into the playoffs this weekend (yes, I had to Google that), my eyes will be locked in to see if Barkley will surprise us with another non-H carry.

Excellent style and bag selection
