As the year comes to a close and we look back on the biggest trends, two instantly stand out from the pack. Ironically, the ethos of each one happens to be completely opposite of the other.
I’m talking about Barbiecore and its barrage of pink compared to Quiet Luxury‘s muted hues of beige, brown, grey, black, and the like. A borderline movement, Quiet Luxury has become a go-to for many, thanks to its effortlessly chic appeal, but if you think it’s not for you, rest assured. Margot Robbie, Barbie herself, is here to prove you can do both—thank you very much!

Down to Basics With Bottega
When it comes to her style, Margot Robbie has range. She’s dynamic in that she looks stylish no matter what she wears. From her off-duty street style to her red-carpet appearances, her looks may differ, but no matter what she wears, they still feel like her. While this summer, she favored bold shades of pink and very literal Barbie looks, this fall, Margot Robbie has continued to expand her repertoire.
Earlier this week, Margot Robbie gave us a lesson in how to nail quiet luxury when she was spotted out and about in New York. If you didn’t know, you wouldn’t know (precisely the point of quiet luxury, after all) that she was wearing Bottega Veneta head to toe.
From the perfectly fitting flare jeans that are anything but basic to her houndstooth wool jacket and, of course, the ultimate minimally luxe accessory, an Intrecciato Hop Bag, this look nails the true essence of quiet luxury.
You, too, can nail the look for a mere $11,000.
We need to lose the term “Quiet Luxury”, literally beyond stupid. We all can recognize BV and we know the cost. Believe me I love it, but give me a break
I didn’t even realize this was the same person. Def feeling her head to toe Bottega look. This is a look I may have to attempt to put together on a dime. 🙂
You can get the same look for $110 at your local mall.
But what you buy from the mall was made by people working in horrific conditions for next to nothing and will fall apart in a short amount of time.
lol, sorry, but I have plenty of mall-purchased clothing that’s over 10 years old and not even close to “falling apart”. And you have no idea who makes each piece of clothing available; your blanket statement here is ridiculous. But you go ahead enjoy overspending for clothing and telling yourself it’s not for status but for “quality”. Margo’s outfit here won’t even be in style in another 3 years – we’re kidding ourselves with that fashion lie. If they don’t change the look we stop buying.
lol right! And pay your light bill, rent/mortgage, go on vacation, buy a puppy, furniture… I mean seriously 11g!!! Girl bye!
I would never have guessed that this was an $11k look. Never.
Not just a look but a feel, a fit and a presence.
Me either!
I used to wear those wide leg pants during my teenage years (20 yrs ago haha). Was called elephant pants back then because the bottom part is as wide as an elephant’s ears. My mom always said i look like im mopping the floors. Never again haha.
What sticks out to me is that her jacket needs tailoring. I understand it’s supposed to be a bit loose but the sleeves are way too long. It looks a couple sizes too big. Don’t like the jeans either.
I’m not 100% sure how “quiet luxury” “you would never know this is BV” this look can be when there is a ginormous BV logo patch on the blazer…..
Haha, so true!
You can get the same look at a OP shop for under $20… 😂
Love the hop bag! Just purchased this one (small size) in the dark chocolate Fondant color! It’s so luxurious, easy to carry, holds all my essentials and smells like amazing leather! Merry Christmas & Happy Birthday to myself ! 🥰
I’m a 77 year old woman and I can rock an equally, laid back, elegant, yet relaxed luxe look for less than the taxes on these beautiful ensembles!
Do you want me to send you some pictures. Pray 🙏🤲 💕 👍
That Gucci outfit is beyond hideous
Classiest bag 😍
As someone who’s been buying BV for years (before it became an Influencer accessory), It WAS quiet lux. It no longer is.
